Here's to our continued efforts to free ourselves from the grips of a reaching mind.
When my body is malnourished, or when my mind thinks it needs sustenance, then my mind desperately reaches out and tries to satisfy any craving habitually defined as relaxing or comforting. Unfortunately those definitions are paired with most unsettling activity, that does not stop the mind from seeking fulfillment. By way of indulgence and mutation, perversions are accepted as a satisfactory means for relief.
I hope meditation can free me from my self created shackles. So I may finally transcend the life times of karma I continually gravitate towards.
Om~Om~Aummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm <3 See you in 3 minutes Brother.
We are going to meditate tonight together at 6 pm pacific 8 central. You can use some music here at the portal if you need some outward relaxing guidance to take your thoughts away from distracting thoughts of satisfying sensory thought forms. Often I go to the creative corner here at the portal and zero into for instance; the Native American section under ‘child boards’ and pick out a link to accompany my meditation.

Eric I continue reading some of your old posts. I have some of the same experiences you mentioned in the last post. I just remember what Paramahansa Yogananda said once and I will relate the story again when I find it. But for now just want to remind you he told us to ‘ go ahead with those cravings but continue your meditation and slowly the mind and soul will want more subtle and spiritual experiences.’ So we think of each other more every Sunday because we meditate together tonite at 9 eastern and 8 central. Hope that continues to bring us together dear friends.

It's 10PM central... I am moving through heart palpitations. Per usual. But I lay under the moon tonight. It was quite surreal, maybe the clouds were playing with my vision. The line that halves the moon and creates shadow was wavering ever so slightly, up and down.
Well I will meditate just a wee bit more before bed, and am sending loving thoughts.
Kind regards.

I do not know of your state of health accept what I can glean out of such inferences above. I always pray for your happiness as well as other members that support our role in encouraging meditation, in this as yet dark period in world history. In the early initiative of the Dwapara, or otherwise known as Bronze Age of our planet’s history it is important to sew seeds of meditation into our cultures, which we do with diligence, and with the Masters’ help.

I got to meditate on the beach with LaurenLoo.We had two very comfortable foldable chairs parked right infront of the ocean. The sounds of the waves, the cool breeze and the lunar eclipse were so magical. We had blankets and just before silencing our minds and entering into prayer I had so much joy and excitement. I'm still fairly energized. Wish I could have stayed out there all night meditating. The stars were easy to behold with little light pollution. Near the end of our meditation we saw a shooting star. The gentle tide stopped just infront of our feet. My thoughts at one point were with Gurunath. As if he was there guiding us in meditation. Then I thought about you Steve. We are able to move through the motions. I thought about others and started feeling so much love and felt so much magic in the vast ocean before me and the sky above me. I started feeling it in my spine and felt healed on some level. God is great. There was a lot of magic in simply being in nature. There were no mosquitos and no critters to crawl on me. The temperature was perfect. It was ideal meditating scenery. Namaste from Galveston TX. My camera is broken but tomorrow I'll see if any of the photos managed to come through.

Thanks …. I went back at her posts to review. Let her know we miss her presence here Eric. I’m happy for you … that you have found someone else to meditate with and it does make a difference in our meditations. Where two or more are gathered together in my name. There I shall be also.~ New Testament I have thought about you last nite as well and have pondered the importance of our long lasting relationship. Also putting it in relief in the test of time with other friends who have come and gone. I never pray that you should change or that you should be like me or should understand me but rather usually the most; that you find your happiness in life. Happiness grows with time and effort. Happiness is a choice ~ Amma

I'm sorry that I cannot join in these times. My present dharma is revolving around the recovery of my son (although he will never recover from his autistic condition). I am sure that to neglect this dharma/krama would be worse than neglecting meditation.
The ideal would be to do both, but my energies alas are not the same as 20 years ago.

I am hoping that you and your son will be able to see Amma if and when she goes on another tour of Europe. Having seen her many times I have seen all kinds of people with different challenges come to her retreats. These people all seem to recognize that we all have souls and Amma brings this recognition to everyone present. She represents karma yoga so much more than Yogananda did… her emphasis has always been on service mccoy. In her compassion she recognizes that there is still the largest percentage of the population that have yet to assimilate meditation into their lives. She does have a meditation technique called IAm but it is much less demanding than Kriya Yoga. There are also a couple versions of it, one shorter than the other. I practice the longer version which still is done in less than one half hour. She always leads every one in a guided meditation before speaking. Besides Bhaktananda I had never felt I was in the presence of a living Master till I met her. Being the embodiment of Divine Mother she is much more demonstrative than for instance Brother Bhaktananda who I believe hid much of his divinity behind the veneer of supporting the Kriya routine and Paramahansa Yogananda’s mission on earth. However when it came to saying what were his convictions even Mother Center did not seem to dissuade him otherwise. It was quite interesting the unusual things he would suddenly say in a sermon. They appeared to be unrelated to the subject. Yet they answered very important points that people needed to hear. And I would hear that he would for instance would say something about aliens and was asked to not repeat such things in sermons but a month latter he would again say the same thing. He was a bit of a maverick in that sense. Being directed by an inner source rather than the the concern of what other people may think.
