I was ride'n a long on the countryside
tryin to leave myself open to change.
Just about the time that you think you’re lost ..
you find yourself in a better place.
Well the Sun went down and the Moon came up
on the plans that i have made..
I took a different turn and ended up
in a world of a better place.

When I performed it live in front of audiences I always like to include the last verse, because although all our heroes fade away the memories remain. Yours included. It is interesting how our memories change about people we’ve known. Many of those memories are transformed by our own transformations in life that change our perceptions and attitudes.
