As you know when we are in a vacuum between relationships we often dwell on what recently happened until life brings us new scenarios of learning and opens us to new relationships. Although as I see it, in that vacuum there is the potential for much spiritual growth and self understanding. We cannot always understand the motivations of others around us but we can have
gestalts if you will, in our recognition of where another person is at in development when and if they leave us or cut the relationship short in karmic destiny. This sets a whole new round of karmic events for them.
Part of the obsessing, on our part is having done all we could for them and for the relationship. When they lay down their cards
in finality, they gave up and they are out..... we at that point can only play them. Then the game is often over. There is nothing more we can do when someone else folds. We can only control ourselves. If others have controlled the environment of our relationships by setting up rules of conduct by asking us not to play and not to return to the table that is their karma. We are free of it.
