Very nice perspective and one that can expand our spiritual awareness being omnipresent. I have found some people are able to transfer their spiritual awareness outside as well as inside. But it is more difficult when we think of this physical creation as being so real.

It becomes more common place when we find others that can first see ghosts and spirits, auras and presences. Miracles are less common but yet still a very important part of our lives and some people-to varying degrees- find that life itself is a miracle.

Although we are in a spiritual dimension in this life. For most it is a challenging dimension of growth and learning lessons. But for those who have enlightenment or some degree of spiritual understanding life brings us in touch with that spiritual dimension inside and out and we are helped by its recognition. Most of life is really about how we see it, not how others want us to see it.

Much of life is how we see it. Not how others want us to see it. We can let others see it differently. Times when we feel challenged by the views of others are important for us to grow in our awareness. I have been helped much by Hazrat Khan with his expansive awareness. Thanks

Commentary by Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan:

Man, absorbed from morning till evening in his occupations which engage his every attention to the things of the earth and of self interest, remains intoxicated. Seldom there are moments in his life, brought about by pain or suffering, when he experiences a state of mind which can be called soberness. Hindus call this state of mind sat, which is a state of tranquility. Man then begins to become conscious of some part of his being which he finds to have almost covered his eyes. When we look at life from this point of view we find that an individual who claims to be a living being is not necessarily living a full life. It is only a realization of inner life which at every moment unveils the soul, and brings before man another aspect of life in which he finds fullness, a greater satisfaction, and a rest which gives true peace.

Can he speak about this to his fellow men? And if he does, what can he say? Can he say, 'I am purer,' or 'more exalted than you' or 'I understand life better than you?' As life unfolds itself to man the first lesson it teaches is humility; the first thing that comes to man's vision is his own limitedness. The vaster God appears to him, the smaller he finds himself. This goes on and on until the moment comes when he loses himself in the vision of God. In terms of the Sufis this is called fana, and it is this process that was taught by Christ under the name of self-denial. Often man interprets this teaching wrongly and considers renunciation as self-denial. He thinks that the teaching is to renounce all that is in the world. But although that is a way and an important step which leads to true self-denial, the self-denial meant is the losing oneself in God.

For me personally the way to lose myself in GOD is through meditation. i also associate the experiences of 'losing myself in GOD' to meditation since no amount of indoctrination into religious views provided such experiences. i have witnessed most people who neglect to meditate and continue with their religious practices becoming relgious and political fanatics who try to force their views on others.

As it stands for most of us meditating, the desires themselves direct our mind so that no stillness is possible. In the moments of stillness there is no desire. Everything becomes clear. Even a few moments of settling the minds constant activity brings an awareness of what activities need to be done apart from any personal desires. No desires need to be fulfilled if we are satisfied with what is.

God is within you; you are His instrument, and through you He expresses Himself to the external world.

If his family causes a man to be so absorbed in his pride and interest in it that nobody else in the world exists for him except his own people, or when a person thinks of his own nation alone -- nothing else interests him, others do not exist for him -- in this case his family pride or his patriotism becomes a veil over his eyes, blinding him so as to make him unable to serve either others or his own. In selfishness there is an illusion of profit, but in the end the profit attained by selfishness proves to be worthless. Life is the principal thing to consider, and true life is the inner life, the realization of God, the consciousness of one's spirit. When the human heart becomes conscious of God it turns into the sea and it spreads; it extends the waves of its love to friend and foe. Spreading further and further it attains perfection.

There's nothing like being in love, and simply being around the one that makes you happy. A gentle and open heart, and a willingness to please the other. To see their joy and their smile ends up making you happy. You know what else is interesting about "true love?" Every time you get it you think, "there's never been a feeling like this." Yet how often have we thought ourselves in love? Love is the greatest lesson for all of us. And we learn that things that have made us happy lose their luster when we have no one to share our joy with. Steve, I've enjoyed most our random laughing on the phone before any of us says anything to the other. That's a joy at our core- and I don't share that with many people. I also allow my self to fall in love with others, because I believe I can learn something in regards to God and the Heart in the process. My latest Love, Brenda, has been an angel and a Blessing.

...the truth cannot be put into words; all we can do is make an effort to render the mystery of life intelligible to our minds.
