i was placed in a room for most of the day and this is what was on the wall.

Dragonfly is asking that you pay attention to your deeper desires and be mindful of the outcome we wish to have. There are lessons to be learned and you are reminded that “what you think” is directly proportionate to what you “see on the surface”. In other words your thoughts are responsible for your physical surroundings. Move through these illusions and “think” your dreams into reality.

Dragonfly can also be letting you know that you should  live your life to the fullest with what you have. It also beckons you to seek out the parts of your habits that need changing. Use this totem to guide you through the mists of illusion and toward the pathway of transformation. It will bring you the light and color of transformation into your life.

Steve thanks for this post. I am willfully undergoing transformation as I practice healthier habits. These urges come in cycles, hopefully I can anchor them and see/become the change I seek.

after an exercise and stretching out on the lawn i noticed a black dragonfly standing upright on its head like it was doing a headstand. i was prompted to do the same.  ;D then the next night i noticed another upside down yellow dragonfly who, upon further observation, straightened himself out and rested near the brightest light he could find.

I swim sometimes at blue lake there are usually dragon flies there. Not sure why they would be so abundant at one lake and not another. More insects? Anyhow I got their message.

The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life.

What interests me about some creatures is that they often react in a friendly manner. I saw a dragonfly today that landed near me and I stroked its wings and back. It did not fly away nor did it seem alarmed but enjoyed the massage.

Today a dragonfly spent much time with me during a whole meditation session. It wanted to stay when I started moving as well. One would wonder if it was driven by an unconscious purpose.

Steve! I'm so happy you're taking an interest in spirit totems.
I'd like to say that's not the message I received! And isn't it so, that we ought to rely on our personal experience and develop intuition than rely on the general miscellaneous meaning taken from the internet? The upside down dragonfly to me showed great poise at a time in my life I had been developing an interest in Yoga.

The dragonfly's are back. This is a message about air and water. Nourishment and grace. Opportunity and death.
