Title: Kindness in Action
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Jun 27, 2016 02:04 pm
I wonder if u have found ways to b kind everyday? No doubt u have. Perhaps we should help each other find ways to b kind everyday.

Lately I have been picking up litter, cans and bottles on the beaches, near the streams and lakes to counter the unkindness of those who make mother earth 🌎 a garbage dump. I just pick them up and put them in the van then recycle them when I get home.

We can b kind to others by finding the good in them and not always concentrating on the bad. I feel that I have a long way to go but I resolve to find less and less negativity in others and more and more positivity....seeing that I have attracted unkindness in others I at sometime gave it to others. Have u ever heard that people will give u what u expect and perceive in them?   Sure;  we can't ignore the awful things people do but we should more importantly remember the good things they r capable of. We no doubt manifest and reinforce what we see in ourselves and others. If we can only see 👀 awful things around us perhaps we need to find the good in ourselves and practice kindness consciously so we can see it and attract it in others.

Often we may be in a situation where it is quite obvious we r called on to serve others around us. This is a form of kindness. Being receptive to serving others leaves us receptive to the grace of God and his service to us.

At times we may find our spiritual life 'dry' and our meditations may seem devoid of spiritual experiences...this could b because we r not giving enough of ourselves or there is an important obstacle in our path that is being shown to us. Sometimes the obstacle is a lack of kindness to others and a need to serve others in our own individual way.

Cant think about the self all the time.

You can think of the Self all the time. It is not necessary to think of the small self. If people think of the larger Self there is a natural kindness they will have towards others. The more we think of the smaller self or ego the less kindness we show towards others and the less gratitude we have for what we have. We may find ourselves having no appreciation for the people and places in our life. People who have no kindness shun others and loose the opportunities afforded to them.
