Title: In the Now
Post by: Jitendra Hy-do-u-no-us? on Nov 21, 2012 08:40 pm
It always amazes me how people will make assumptions about the meaning that other people have in their threads and conversations. For instance i recently got a shake at a fast food restaurant. i only talked about the shake but when i got to the drive thru counter i wondered why i was being charged so much and the fellow said well you ordered a shake and fries. i was very perplexed. Although i should get used to it by this time in life.

Similarly Elfun brought up how people can misinterpret his posts. i find this to be also. It often seems that at times people will read into a post what they are going thru rather than what i was trying to convey. As though it is interpreted by their present state of consciousness and to justify their present circumstances and situations in their lives. Instead of trying to understand, they will accuse you of stating things that you can not defend since they already got it in their head as to what you meant. Any how i have decided there is really nothing i can do when this happens accept pray for there to be understanding. If we feel confident and loving about what we have said we just have to be at peace about it and let the other person go on with their own views.

In this way we can be 'in the now' We must recognize that people are going to leave
and cast you in their own preconcieved ideas of their present consciousness. A planet that symbolizes the present in many ways is Chiron. It is interesting how it works in
peoples charts. We have the ability to live in the present and not let past episodes we
have encountered with others influence our present situations; but we rarely open ourselves  up to the idea that every day brings a fresh start and many people would like to start over with the rising of the Sun and a new day and let go of past regrets and sorrows. This is our/my divine mission: to let every person and situation have a fresh start and not taint our views of present life situations with past conditionings, at the same time letting go of situations and people who constantly dwell in the past when so many opportunities are opening up before us today.

hi jitendra
letting go, now that is a mastery i can definitely learn to adopt
you know how it can get for us cancerians at times heh

my friend this is another synchronicity with the book i am currently reading
there are 2 of the 4 agreements listed here
one being, make no assumptions of others
and the second, don't take things personally

when we make assumptions and take things personally we create a spiritual poison.
these two toxins are some of the fatal dosages that careen one towards his or her own personal living hell.
you're right though, we are all unique with a very special brain chemistry and personality that weaves through the blue print of our soul and determines the way we interpret and view the world around us.
OH LIFE HOW BEAUTIFUL TO BE, THE BLESSED INDIVIDUAL YOU ARE
it is beautiful
my heaven and your heaven, is it identical ? what about hell ?
in either case, many times your words have indeed amplified personal situations currently going through my life- there are times in fear i have thought i was being directly targeted- but thanks to our communication we've been able to release these things sooner. then there are times where i feel spirit is working through you and speaking, highlighting things for me.
ultimately, it is as you say here

if you live and practice good intentions
if you consider these two agreements i've mentioned earlier
then, you are immune
you are free from promoting further drama and the suffering of others or even your own fears

it's a practice and it is not impossible.

thank you   :)

It's Thanksgiving i am grateful for the connections i have made with you and others
here at the Portal.

It's funny/ironic that i used to, rather flippantly, tell people not to take it so personally and to be detached then i got replies like: "What do you mean? it happened to me" and "it's easy for you to say" etc. and they were right because if i had been going thru what they were going thru at the time i might not have said what i said but tried to be more empathetic to what they were going thru in their present state of consciousness. When we get a new spiritual idea in our head sometimes we will express it in all kinds of ways without really knowing the full meaning or the repurcussions it may have on oursleves and others.

Many things do happen to us and they are of personal nature but i think that what it boils down to, is how much we have invested in our personal identity. That is what i/we are trying to free ourselves from. i would say many actors musicians performers professionals would have a much harder ability at the spiritual life because they have such an image to maintain. Such a personal identitiy.

When things do not pan out between people, sometimes we have to say O.K. i see where we seem to be goin' with this.  we've been here before and it did not turn out so good for me so let's choose a different route or i'd just as soon play the game alone.

Yes, assuming can take place when people are not communicating.
Sometimes it happens because  communication breaks down
and someone looses interest. You can't create an interest if
it is not reciprocal.

People use drama as though it is some kind of bad word.
It's the latest 'catch phrase' Yet really
we're all actors playing out our individual roles in
this cosmic drama called life. So we are all creating drama.
The question is what kind? Jesus created
some heavy drama. i think if Pilot was around today he would say:
Just chill on the drama so that things can go on smoothly
in this sector of the Roman Empire.

Ultmately, though it is practice  and nothing is impossible
as you say Eric. Look at the  Masters and you will see.
They gave us plenty of understanding so unless we  see the
bluntness of ego manifesting , which is like a bad tooth
that needs removal..... we must give others
the benefit of the doubt over and over.
Practice practice and one day; the goal!

As an afterthought who is the author
you have taken such inspiration from? i would like to
look over the book or hear some quotes.
i wonder if you can share any of your thoughts about
your latest relationship. If it is still going on and
what you are learning from It.
Your posts make me happy. i feel as though you
are are most always expressing from a high
place where i want to be

Jitendra.
