BROTHER BHAKTANANDA (in picture):
How to attain stillness/breathlessness after practicing meditation techniques:

Be aware of spiritual eye alone;
Push out any thoughts that come;
No chanting, praying, thinking;
No techniques, no devotion;
Utterly surrender to God;
Keep awareness only at spritual eye,
Gently wrinkle eyebrows or squint eye lids;
No straining.
Gradually stillness increases and the breathless state can manifest.

When you can no longer hold onto stillness then practice devotion;
give your heart's natural love to God.
Yoganandaji coined the term, 'make love to God'.
