We have various attachments and so called responsibilities that bind us to certain situations. At a certain point the soul recognizes its true responsibility and no longer imprisons itself it these outward activities. When we know the truth or fallacy of other peoples remarks than we no longer can accept what is not true and we act on what is truth. Being here on this forum is part of your action. You have people here who do not criticize you but accept you for what you are and want to be. But this is not your every day life. Your everyday life can also change. i am sure there are SRF groups and spiritual groups you can join there as well. As a matter of fact i invited you to one of them but you have other commitments. So we must look at our choices in life that bring us to our present situations. Or are you enabling those to continue in their sleeping consciousness by staying where you are with them? Sometimes just the leaving can help those around you by their recognizing that they can not go on living like they are and you can not either.
