Trump's Policies Empower Kleptocrats, Undermine Global Anti-Corruption Efforts

The article discusses the shift in U.S. policy under President Trump's administration, particularly focusing on its impact on global anti-corruption efforts. Historically, the U.S. has been committed to fighting kleptocracy and corruption, with laws like the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) serving as tools to counter illicit financial activities globally. However, Trump has rescinded these measures, claiming that such enforcement harms U.S. competitiveness and national security. This move weakens efforts against kleptocracy, benefiting countries like China and Russia.

Real kleptocracy exists in Russia

Yes and here in the USA. Where most of the wealth is in the hands of those who are ruling the states.

This has never – NEVER – happened in our lifetimes.

FIRST: Trump called for Liz Cheney and all other members of the Jan 6 Committee to be thrown in PRISON.

THEN: Trump installed an election denier to DISMANTLE the investigation of the Jan 6th insurrection.

NOW: Liz Cheney just issued a grave warning and called us all to action:

Liz Cheney: "[Trump] is trying to conceal the truth and threatening to jail those who investigated him."
It has never – NEVER – been more critical that Democrats band together to win GOP House seats up for grabs in special elections, build a Democratic firewall against Donald Trump, and protect our Democracy.

To me, it just looks like karmic retribution. Mr. Trump has been persecuted, and now that he is president, he's going to persecute his former persecutors.

The legitimate criticism should be that Mr. Trump has not forgiven nor sought reconciliation with his enemies.

Anybody that disagrees with him or his followers should be persecuted according to them. As they have targeted me as well. Since when has retribution been a part of the political process in a democracy? This is not part of a democracy. This again is a function of a dictatorship which United Clones is quickly adhering towards.
