Saturn, the planet of time, shows up in our natal charts in a place where we have heavy lessons to learn. Depending on the Malefic and benefic placement of its rays affecting other celestial objects and sensitive points in the chart we can see how it’s placements will affect our lives. It’s position shows where we need to slow down to grasp the learning experiences given to us in our lives.

For instance it lies in mccoy’s first house, showing that his environment itself and his body have learning experiences to understand in his life. My chart is somewhat more difficult in that Saturn lies in the 5th house of self expression, slowing down the ability to express the talents or gifts provided to learn key lessons in life. Saturn demands patience. Patience with ourselves and those we encounter in our life.

Meditation itself is an art which requires much patience. The body always wants to do something. It is restless. But our spirit requires much silent reflection and time alone to manifest our divine nature. We need to lengthen our practice, slow down our techniques and still our mind to experience realms beyond the ilusory dream of restless activity that most beings are frenetically engaged in here on the earth plain.
