Because most Americans demand their hamburgers, which is the main reason the deforestation is happening in Brazil; to make room for more cattle to grow and murder for the gluttony of American Hamburger 🍔 culture.

About 1.24 acres in a temperate Mediterranean climate like ours. Feeding a cow requires much more, perhaps double that amount. Presently there is vast demand for grass-fed meats, so I'm afraid the fate of the Amazon won't be so good. |
