Title: Be Here Now Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 14, 2024 11:33 am We may have to remind ourselves several times, if not more while meditating, that our mind is wondering and we are entertaining all kinds of thoughts and even letting ourselves be carried away by a stream of thought. That is why, among other reasons, it is important to have a mantra, and perhaps several techniques for focusing the mind and settling the thoughts and emotions. We are often like sand in a jar full of water. We shake the jar and that is what our consciousness is like much of the day. We have to settle all this restless activity down so that we can let inner peace manifest, as the restless particles of our mind’s activity settle down.
Some people are more devotional in nature. They are Bhakti yogis. They may find devotional music or chants more helpful to focus their attention and energy. Others may be more mental or wisdom oriented and favor affirmations or mental reminders; like “Be here now”. Sometimes we have to talk to our own mental and emotional wonderings. It's a different frequency that I appreciate.

Life is full of wonderful surprises if I just let people as they are sometimes. And work on my own meditation and transformation. It is possible that changing ourselves will change our world. Yea i believe I understand you. It’s like the frequency of silence 🤫 and occasionally being blessed by the cessation of thought vibration opens us to a totally different experience. And what an experience that is! It's a different frequency that I appreciate. I have moments of clear feelings of peace and as though I am nurturing my soul. Everything slows down including my thoughts it’s like static waves turn into smooth waves and consciousness is satisfied in the moment not always seeking some kind of other stimulation. And even if I am for instance outdoors and feel invaded by for instance flies or mosquitoes, I often seem to get up from meditation and find some magic or vital energy in the environment. Sometimes there is even discovery and a sense that some new event or a spiritual connection with another human being that enters awareness. |
