Title: Active Imagination
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on May 28, 2024 02:42 pm
Active Imagination:Jung created the concept of active imagination as a way to describe bridging the gap between unconsciousness and consciousness. Using imagination, fantasy, dreams and meditation, a client is able bring their unconscious into the present through narrative or action. Active imagination relies on a client’s undirected observation of their imagination or dreams, not an intended image of their desires.

Added to the testimony of my own life and people who came into my life, I think that active imagination has been the best way of finding out the secrets about our past life incarnations and present day encounters. I have found it interesting to note that at a certain point many of those encounters have come to an impasse because of past issues between loved ones that we are still working out this lifetime. Paramahansa Yogananda once stated that every one we’ve seen in this life has also been in our previous lives. He also said that long lasting relationships and friendships are the result of not just one life but many lives of working out wrinkles in other lives. I cannot verify this about everyone but I have had a chance to hear recounts of my past lives with many friends I’ve met. And also have an uncanny feeling of familiarity with those coming into my life.
