Title: Food of the Future
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on May 26, 2024 01:49 am

*Sun Rays in Lesson No.19*

*The future food of man will be various rays of cosmic energy* . Cosmic rays, electrons, atoms, and air will be drawn in through different openings of the body.

If one constantly keeps his mind concentrated upon the point between the eyebrows (at the Kutastha center) and sees there the spiritual eye and commands it to recharge the body with strength, it will do so, If this were practiced, we would cease to grow old.

*Energy may be drawn from the sun by covering the whole body with a piece of thick blue  silk or a blanket and keeping the medulla oblongata exposed to the sun.* Concentrate upon the back of the head and feel it getting warmer and warmer. Feel the energy being stored in the brain and distributed through the body. Take a sunbath and concentrate deeply upon the sunbathed surface of the body, drinking the sunshine in through every pore.

Concentration upon the sunrays gives one hundred times greater results than taking a sun- bath absentmindedly.

Sit upright in a chair. Close your eyes. Expel the breath quickly, but start inhaling very slowly through the nostrils, thinking that your brain, lungs, heart, spine, stomach, abdomen, thighs, legs, arms, and so forth, are being filled with air. You can also inhale quickly and fill the whole body with the atomic power in the oxygen.

I think that's the food for a very distant future, maybe the next Satya Yuga. I wish I were wrong though.

Maybe 🤔 it’s enhanced olfactory sensitivity since my hearing has been dampened so much from playing in Loud bands. But I seem to be even in tune with astral fragrances when there is no visual stimulus. It’s unusual in the sense that when you think about it the brain cuts it off. What I mean by that is that such fragrances are not dependent on the mental processes but rather are intuitive in nature.

There are more physical aspects to this as well. I have a favorite place I go because of the ‘incense’ of the tress, leaves and the moisture in the air from the river. And occasional blossom also adds to the smell that fills my lungs and body. It seems so much more easier to jog or meditate in these conditions, voiding the incessant physical presence of mosquitoes and small insects, that crawl over you as the summer progresses.

Master has already given us an oxygen diet to start having a future that you were talking about. You may remember it. He says; “Inhale and exhale deeply from 6 to 12 times every hour filling the lungs down to the lower lobes with fresh air. This method may be practiced outdoors, with alternately walking slowly and resting. When weather conditions necessitate indoor practice, the windows should be kept wide-open. Of course, warm clothing should be warm during the winter season as a protection against the cold. This aids spiritual growth. This practice should not be undertaken by weak  persons, or invalids.” Self Realization Fellowship Lesson #81

Thanks for the reminder, but rather than an oxygen diet it constitutes a dietary supplement, the evidence is that no or very few people in history have been able to live on an oxygen diet. The great masters did not practice that diet.

Perhaps you are right, because it has been mainly saints, not Masters that never ate. So maybe it was intended to be a dietary supplement. Who knows what the highest Satya Yuga will bring to humankind in attainment. Certainly not I. Anyhow, I think there are more important things to consider in our spiritual development.

The beneficial properties of sun rays (but not UVB rays in excess) are recognized by modern medicine. As a supplement though, not as a substitute for food. I did that kind of experiment when 20 (eating very little food) and I got extremely emaciated and sick. Someone else may be more successful, but so far nobody took up to the challenge of a prolonged diet of sun rays and oxygen and survived.

Perhaps not. But with combination of sun rays , oxygen and the practice of higher Kriya; the goal may be in reach sooner then we imagine.

“When the spiritual center in the medulla (ajna chakra) is (thus) awakened, the mind becomes absorbed in the sacred sound of om, emanating from that center. A divine nectar-like current flows from the thousand petaled lotus, which causes the secretion of a fluid in the mouth that is pleasantly sweet and very vitalizing. Great yogis, by drinking this nectar, can live without eating, never feeling the slightest hunger.”

Of course I wish it, but in my perhaps pessimistic view it will be something reached in the next Satya Yuga, maybe.
