Title: Helping Others
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Apr 09, 2024 06:47 pm
I’m beginning to understand why some yogis meditate long hours a day instead of being involved with others and attempting to help them. Most people do not want real help. Instead they seek various ways to enjoy themselves in pleasure. I’m sure there are good karmic ramifications from ‘helping others’ and at times 🤔 even financial gain from doing so. However recently I’ve learned that the pay off is not really worth it, and I would be better off to live with less and gain more spiritually from spiritual practices that keep me safe and happy regardless of the physical pleasures and comforts.

This has become even apparent here on this site, where trolls 🧌 are not happy with my spiritual progress and would like to make me aware that I’m far from perfect. Well I do understand that; and instead of attempting to help it is better to work on myself and raise my own consciousness. I would like to keep this site going though with the help of other friends here that are also attempting to be better people and are supportive in that endeavor. When the opportunity is there to help others and we presently do not have the insight or patience to sit long hours in meditation… we may find ourselves in service to others for awhile.
