Title: Tumeric and Curcumin Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jan 17, 2024 11:19 pm Yes mccoy, this is a pleasant video. Music and information is good.. I remember seeing Sri Kurunamayi. from India, years back and she talked about the health benefits of turmeric which has cumin in it. I had never heard of it then. But she was awakening the west to many benefits from the east that we were unaware of and since then I’ve used turmeric both raw and powdered countless times. At the time I had never heard of it, but these saints and Masters from India have opened up a whole new vista of wisdom to the west, often years later western science and nutritionists tag along and pretend like they have invented another wonderful health invention.
As if by some past life remembrance I embraced many of these eastern culture ideas almost immediately upon hearing them, recognizing intuitively there was some great wisdom in them. I also remember getting the SRF lessons and reading Paramahansa Yogananda saying that if you want to help settle a restless mind and gain spiritual consciousness stop eating meat and pork, and abolish eating fish as well or at least limit eating it and stop eating bottom feeders. I immediately quit eating all foul, pork and meat and became a vegetarian, after eating meat quite regularly before. I had been duped by the ignorance of western culture indoctrination. If I need to ever come back to this earth school again perhaps I will be be born by yogi parents who already know about all the sleep walkers who eat the foods that make you sick and die an early death. Since I became a vegetarian I rarely if ever get sick. So I thank the Eastern Masters who have helped me recognize the deleterious consequences of a ‘dead food’ diet. If you look in the eyes of people eating meat most there life you will see a glazed look in their eyes. And you feel a darker aura surrounding them, then people who eat healthy without murdering our brothers and sisters the animals. Their behaviors are usually also surrounded by irritations, aggression and hostility as well. Curcumin is another spice which constitutes a superfood for its multiple benefits in health and longevity. Your post has reminded me to buy some ginger tomorrow, it's a very tasty addition to dishes of vegetables, and together with curcumin and black pepper it constitutes a powerful preventive medicine. https://youtu.be/IvvH01esY2o?si=FnP-xb5LbmMHSzLP Title: Re: Tumeric and Curcumin Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 08, 2024 08:02 pm https://shop-owl.com/buying-guide/top-5-turmeric-supplements-bing?tr=nbo7mxX&nbt=nb%3Amicrosoft%3Aa%3A410894391%3A1297424014879922%3A81089094449646&nb_mt=e&nb_bmt=be&nb_oii=81089288787563&nb_qs=turmeric&nb_fii=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=108743&nb_pi=&nb_pc=&nb_ci=&msclkid=b0842f8ab03c1cf3161649e8d938f8ca
Title: Re: Tumeric and Curcumin Post by: mccoy on Jun 09, 2024 06:21 pm I just take turmeric powder, the purchase of curcumin supplements is not an easy task, since bioavailability varies widely.
Title: Re: Tumeric and Curcumin Post by: mccoy on Jun 09, 2024 06:24 pm Turmeric/curcumin is one of the most powerful functional foods/supplements available. Its benefits are encompassing an ample range of conditions. Once a day, I put turmeric powder, ginger powder and black pepper on my vegetables, but I agree that's pretty empirical, I didn't figure out the exact dosages. This trio is a formidable functional combination though. Sometimes I use fresh turmeric and ginger roots, either raw or cooked. Turmeric must not be consumed in excess. |
