Title: Re: Honey Post by: mccoy on Jan 09, 2024 11:28 pm I'm not very convinced about Sadhguru's assertions, like honey has a very similar composition to blood. Apart from the fact that honey is 60% simple sugar, blood is 0.1% simple sugar (glucose).
It's interesting the claim that honey with warm water will cause weight loss whereas honey with cold water will cause weight gain. I don't know if the above would be verified in a clinical trial. Unfortunately, nobody would ever finance such a study. The parts about the influence of honey on the mind or consciousness were probably more interesting. Paramahansa Yogananda also extolled natural sweeteners; Honey and Maple Syrup, saying that maple syrup was a brain stimulant. Who would finance that study; LOL 😝 Title: Re: Honey Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jan 10, 2024 03:19 am Do not eat too much white sugar. Raw sugar is preferable, and honey is best of all. Eat natures candies, such as unsulfured figs, prunes and raisins. The ingestion of excessive quantities of sweets, causes intestinal fermentation.

One think not to forget though is that moderation governs. Honey and dried fruit is good in moderate amount, at least insofar as we are not engaged in strenuos physical activity or regular training. I used to eat lots of honey, figs and dried fruit but now I almost ceased, due to their effects on blood sugar on me. |
