Today, I witnessed the most astounding movement, I am certain the bird was a goldfinch. This bird dropped out from a tree in front of me, maintaining a hover 1 inch above the ground, he pivoted his body 90 degrees before lifting back off the ground and into the tree. It was so surreal, and strange how close it happened to me- I completely forgot what I was thinking about in the moment and was truly astounded. It made me think I should have remembered my thoughts and the importance of concentration and meditation. "The Finch symbolism exemplifies this clearly through their flight patterns.
