Your experiences may be quite different than they were decades before. This has happened to me. Just like meeting people, what job you have or where you live. Things change dramatically and so do experiences in meditation.

In fact, when you start meditating you will find that your mind chatters constantly and it may irritate you that it has so much to say. But it can be quieted if you persist. It is best to find some meditation techniques that suit you and continue practicing. I find that though I’m interested in many techniques and masters, it has been best for me to eventually become acquainted with some enlightened soul(s) who know what’s better for me than myself. Some of you may disagree with that notion and I respect 🫡 your approach. I just have found that as creatures of habit it is very difficult to grasp our own illusions we’ve created and continue to live out life after life. It is much better to find answers from those who already have found enlightenment. Those who know us and can be our spiritual doctors to lead us into an awakening of what we really are and not how we imagine ourselves. We desire to experience and accomplish things that may be dead end roads. How much time do we want to continue spending here in this life over and over?  At some point it is wise to ask that question of ourselves.

I’ve found that a true Master-has the ability to get us out of psychological ruts and reoccurring environmental conditions that keep us imprisoned in our own false notions about reality. Although we do need to ask for such help and need to do our part. I often have to remind myself of it. I see people around me who seem imprisoned by their own past and current situations and it gives me inspiration to break out of my own self imposed limitations and circumstances.
