Title: Re: Why we are on the brink of extinction; Sadhguru Post by: guest587 on Dec 09, 2023 05:37 am Hi Brother,
Not sure if you meant it to start at the 30-ish minute marker but it was a perfect time for me to tune in. It really made me think about my Sister. The man interviewing Sadhguru was trying to imply trauma was a justification for poor attitude. More or less. Sadhguru said you're finding an excuse, for the way you are, that you yourself don't like. "If something unpleasant happened to you- you have two choices. Either you can become wise, or you can become wounded. More unpleasant things happen to you than anybody else, you must be the wisest man soonest- No, you choose to be wounded because you carry this wound like a badge so you can cause the same wound unto others- what's the point?" --- "There is no excuse." I love it. The man goes on to try and make an example, saying that something bad happens to him when he's 7 years old so he is scarred and Sadhguru just laughs it off. "When you were 5 years of age, you were bubbling with joy by your own nature. Somebody had to work hard to make you unhappy- but now somebody has to work hard to make you happy, what's happened with the equation? If you are really growing up- if at 5 years you were made unhappy, and you're 31- you should be ecstatic!" The man interviewing him still believes people become more miserable as they age- Sadhguru joyishly and compassionately says... "No, they just carry more baggage." Thanks Steve.=) Title: Re: Why we are on the brink of extinction; Sadhguru Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Dec 09, 2023 06:18 am Yea lately Ive been listening to him. I thought I’d make a comparison between him and for instance Amma. But then I thought; what’s the use ? If it’s helpful to listen why not? And that’s where I left off. Yea many peeople wear their pain from the past like a badge. |
