Title: Giving kindness as an offering
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Oct 16, 2023 03:01 am
I find when I have little to offer people that they can see is needed, I can offer kindness to others as an offering to God and Gurus.

What does the King say to a 'least of these'?
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” The “least of these” refers to those in a variety of needy situations.

The verse "And the King shall answer and say unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.'" is from the New King James Version of the Bible1. Another verse that talks about helping the least of these is "And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward"2. Both verses are from the book of Matthew in the New Testament of the Bible.

“You have no idea how hard I've looked for a gift to bring You. Nothing seemed right. What's the point of bringing gold to the gold mine, or water to the ocean. Everything I came up with was like taking spices to the Orient. It's no good giving my heart and my soul because you already have these. So I've brought you a mirror. Look at yourself and remember me.” - Rumi
