Title: Ghosts

In Act 1 Scene 5 of Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet, Hamlet says to his friend:

“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Hamlet has been told by the night watch that the ghost of his father has appeared to them. Hamlet and his friend, Horatio go up to the battlements and the ghost appears. Horatio is a practical, down to earth scholar and he is stunned by this – he doesn’t believe in ghosts. He says: “O day and night, but this is wondrous strange.” Hamlet replies: “There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” He is suggesting that the human imagination is limited and that there are many things we don’t know, things that haven’t been discovered and, in fact, things we haven’t even dreamt of.

Indeed. But let us not look upon our misplaced priorities as a society with contempt rather, an admission to the newness of our species. For as old as we think the human race is there is intelligent life unbeknownst to the majority of us that might appear in mysterious forms or communicate in non-ordinary ways, striking our curiosities- perhaps this is an indication that indeed we are somewhat in the dark ages with regards to understanding the nature of consciousness and our place in the universe.

Considering that all belongs to God, all God... All perfect, even when we- in our infancy, decry another, it is all for good reason. It is the growing pains of discovery. I have come to view this life as a blessing, it is a privilege to have danced and lived... To have cried and to have been made intrigued. What matters most, in my opinion, is the personal relationship with God.

Yes there is an entire world we do not know, and rarely contemplate.

Well i have experienced the reality of other beings here among us as I believe you have as well, though they may be called by different names.

Ghosts are spirits stuck between this life and the next.
