People saying you must be sad bout being what you are You must be sad thinking bout the past It must be lonely being so confused Being perplexed by the things you do But you know in truth it never been like this It took some meditation to realize I’m as happy as the light in my eyes Just enjoying how its been With all my life and all of the friends And if they don’t want to celebrate Don’t say I’m sad because that’s O.K. The party is goin on and you can come along Not everyone will understand I’ve made mistakes but I’m happy for what I am and what I’ve been I’m not dwellin’ on the past I just will celebrate alone On a day like the fourth of July But this day I celebrate the things I’ve said and what I’ve been Today's the day to recognize It may never be like this again in my life i may never see what i've seen i may never feel what i feel heck i could feel even better if i don't let the static enter my life If i celebrate how it's been and how it is every day of my life.
