Title: Yogananda, a dream of the Master that Eric had. Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Mar 10, 2023 12:20 pm yogananda, sri ma, a stroll through the market
i am with a group of people at a table, it is a large group setting stretching horizontally down the table on both sides. in the middle is yogananda and i am sitting across form (from) him. i stand up and i ask yogananda to explain the concept of, "sri ma" before sitting back down. he defines the meaning, unaware of my plan to grant his sister this honorary title. his sister in the dream is an old woman. i stand back up and explain to yogananda that we will call his sister sri ma. he is a bit shocked. he tells his sister, "do not worry. i will dispel such notions." to which his sister in her ripened age replies, "no. i will accept the title. it's too late for me. you grew enough hair for the both of us." she is somehow joking with yogananda, and everyone at the table, including yogananda is taking the lighthearted nature of their exchange in joy and smiling or laughing. later, i am observing as formless awareness. we, a lone man sitting in a type of carriage meant to be pulled by another person- and yogananda, are together in a open market type setting. yogananda approaches this man with a bowl which has egg in it and ask if he can pull his cart. the young man is somewhat taken by surprise and agrees to this notion. as he positions himself grabbing the wooden beams on each side he tells the man to grab a whisk and whisk the eggs in the bowl. we stroll through the market and yogananda begins his assessment of the young man. he is asking him questions as he slowly wheels him up and down through various aisles of this outdoor market. he ask the man why no one would want to pull him when the design of his carriage makes him so light. he tells him it is quite an easy job. the man, whisking the eggs at yoganandas request, does not know. the curious thing is they don't eat the eggs being whisked... the first thing yogananda decides to eat is an orange, and he offers a slice to the man before continuing to pull him around and ask him more questions. time passes and the young man is hungry, and yogananda finds another orange- except this orange is already cut in slices and where the fruit would go are a tiny dense bunch of seeds. i believe the young man is no longer sitting in his carriage but following yogananda around as they eat this microseeded orange. the rind of the orange is also dried and edible. the young man realizes whatever they are eating has been pickled and chases down yogananda explaining to him, "these oranges are pickled!" we are walking some more before i wake up at 2:50AM to use the restroom. i should also include that my friend michael is somewhere in the beginning of this dream, but that i can't remember much more. i believe he(my friend michael) was analyzing a black object, and i was sitting next to him helping him understand something. I think your dream tonight is simply wonderful and spiritual in nature. Yet more like a vision from the Master than a dream. Paramahansa Yogananda was often humorous in his relationships with devotees and strangers alike. He also was self effacing in his assessment of situations his devotees encountered with regards to him. So this dream only verifies this notion. Yogananda gave the man he was helping some ‘ pickled orange’ 😝. That was very much his sense of humor Eric. Your dream is very spiritual in nature and one to remember for the rest of your life’s days. This ‘dream’ you had Eric, is typical of the outward presence of Paramahansa Yogananda in all my memories of reading about him and my personal experiences as well. He always displayed this humorous prankishness and humility in relation to others he met. I feel you are so blessed to have him come to you and express these qualities. I am so grateful 🥲. And others are also blessed to vicariously share your experiences. I remember being healed of my high blood pressure by the Master. He was in the same way mischievous 😏 and hid my money and my blood pressure pills so I was unable to use them and he then could show me I did not need them. How did I know it was him? Because after these events happened I went to the Masters crypt at Forest Lawn at the mortuary in Glendale, California and meditated for an hour an a half. This was not my plan but because of the strange circumstances with both the money and my 💊 pills I decided it was the best thing to do. Later, after taking blood pressure tests many times (It wad hard to believe.) I realized the pills were no longer necessary. This dream above sincerely inspired me tremendously. His love Eric, through his humor and humility, is shining through like a bright light in your visions memories. His darshan I have witnessed through your experiences here. This may also interest you … the Mahasamadhi of Paramahansa Yogananda took place on March 7. And Sri Yukteswar’s took place on March 9 . Your vision took place March 10. You may also want to look at the food he offered the man with the cart. Like an afterthought the man with the oranges chased the Master down. I’ve been doing that all my life Brother. His presence is always a bit ahead of our awakening and awareness. But still I’m aware of his pranks after all these years and perhaps 🤔 lifetimes. “It’s too late … you grew enough hair for the both of us” 😂 LOL (Photo included.) I liked your post about memory too. Thank you for the hint about the fruit too. Looking back at my dream journal, I see the "Master energy" present over the course of these few weeks. I believe we are being assisted on a large scale, "behind the scenes" but this reality is present for all of us- and we are stepping into, remembering and embracing the "real." I believe we are being assisted on a large scale, "behind the scenes" but this reality is present for all of us- and we are stepping into, remembering and embracing the "real." I don’t know that you fully grasp the extent of your dreams purpose Eric. It is quite like the Sufi dreams you had in the past. Many times we do not recognize the importance of the dreams and experiences we have when they are occurring but come to appreciate them after they have occurred, perhaps years later. Our soul then wants to re-experience them. Yet our purpose and place can never be the same, especially in relation to others. We can only recall the beauty of such spiritual experiences or experiences we shared with others close to us. It is not that we will not have more spiritual experiences with others or more spiritual awakenings. It is just that they will be different. And so each experience we have now is unique and can never be duplicated. That is the beauty of the present. “Live each moment in wonder, as if God is standing there. He's always before you, in every thing and every moment. Truly there is no greater realization” ~ Eric |
