Welcome. How did you hear about us?

I invited Thisbody to have a look at the forum, he was a member of yoganandaji.org.

I don't know if he's going to be a regular member, even as the other previous member of yoganandaji.org.

Maybe the format of this forum is too different from the other.

That was nice of you mccoy. I hope he finds something to his liking and we hear from him.

Each person comes in this life in a certain flock of 🦅 birds. They fly with what is comfortable for them. Yet occasionally we see flocks merge and separate. This is also true of humans. Our migration is a joyful satsang. Any one willing to share their joy in our common aspiration and in the joy of our flight is welcome here, however brief or lengthy that flight may take them. It is important to recognize the beauty of all the different flocks of birds God has created and their wondrous aspirations in flight. What is important is that whoever we decide to fly with, at the time, our common aspirations are strengthened in our migration towards the divine.

Steve, I found your flock-of birds metaphor exceedingly good, it depicts accurately and poetically the topic of the aspect of the inherent variability of  God's creation and the merging and separation of minds, without any negativity attached to it.

So this is my first post under my moniker from the former forum.

Thanks to you all, who welcome me with your loving words.

I used to be a member of this forum some 10 yrs. ago, or so. However, I could not remember my nick from back then, so I had to create a new account, to follow my dear brother mccoy's invitation to step in here, and look around, again.

Just checking in, to say hello to you all.

@Steve: We had quite a few exchanges on this board, and on Shannon's (ex-)board, way back then, too.
Also, we have had a mutual friend from MI, named A... . Ring a bell? - Not important, if not so, really.

Peace! & OM, t.

Yes I remembered all these details! And tried to find you here from before but was unable to… I also remember Anne, Shannon and many others on the path… birds of a feather… come together!

I wonder if you remember some of the subjects we used to discuss together Brother? If I find any I’ll bring them up. If members close their accounts here it is difficult to find their old subjects of interest because they are listed as ‘guests’.

I have found it interesting to go back to some old members here that have not signed in, in years, because if they have not closed their accounts I can still find what they had to say, especially friends from past lives like; Anne, Dan, Shannon, Lisa and Nikki who may have used pseudonyms that I recognize as them. I never forget people who I’ve been close to and often still pray for them regardless of their current opinions or feelings towards me. After years you tend to remember the things that initially fascinates you or you loved about them and let go of the challenges and difficulties you have encountered with them. If they continue to hold on to such experiences as the difficult ones, it does not mean we must do the same.

It’s nice to see you drop in and out. Hope you come back more often. Sometimes you just have to wait for people to find their own place and time. You really can’t push yourself back into someone’s life. I think the important factor to recall is that friendship is build over many incarnations, not just one. People often need a lot of time to heal and make changes that reopen our lives to others. Sometimes it even requires a break from others for a lifetime but these things have a way of working back into our many lives and incarnations…. Each of us serves a purpose in opening up to the divine will and it’s plan for us individually and collectively.

Ofcourse I remember Ann and miss her, but what is given to us in friendship and many things is also taken away. We eventually get more used to it after living decades.

I’ve written a song with these lyrics in it;

Make friends with your past, it’s part of your life.
Be kind to your memories, open up your heart and mind.

Yes life is full of perpetual change. It is enough sometimes to just keep up with the pressure exerted by our  karma and understanding those who come into our life.

So you have found your ‘nick name’ from back then. Do you like  ‘Henry’  is that your real name? You have never told us. My birth name is Stephen (Steve) but I use ‘Jitendra’ since Amma (the hugging saint) gave me that spiritual name. She has helped me much this life. Her grace has always been evident.

Steve.

Today (again) I tried deleting the account named "henry". - Apparently to no avail.
I also tried sending you a message through this board, but when I go to my sent messages it says:

Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\Sources2\PersonalMessage.php:599 Stack trace: #0 C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\Themes2\default\PersonalMessage.template.php(96): prepareMessageContext() #1 C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\Sources2\Load.php(1871): template_folder() #2 C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\Sources2\Subs.php(2846): loadSubTemplate() #3 C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\smf11.php(88): obExit() #4 C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\index.php(279): require_once('...') #5 {main} thrown in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree\Sources2\PersonalMessage.php on line 599

..pointing at an internal database-error.

To sum up the "henry-topic":

If you want to delete it, fine, if not, to me, also fine.

Thank you.

 :)

This is a phenomenon I have already explained; sorry you were not here at the time friend. Are host for the site requires money for questions on such matters. I am unable to do this for every question someone has, including my own on this matter. My hope is one day we will have our own site.

 :D Uwe,

T! No need to keep up with the topics that give you a headache. I don't think we can accurately judge one another from our short time on an online forum. There are personalities behind these screens we are scarcely aware of. I shouldn't speak for Steve but I believe he is making real efforts to transform himself and practice kindness and his spiritual beliefs. I have been with this forum since 2010. And even then, I don't actually know Steve. If I were to meet him, perhaps our exchange would be different. As it is with any person we meet in real life. But I believe I know him well enough to know he means well.

I don't think you know what either of us go through on a daily, what we practice, what we do or do not do. Or even, how we engage with others. I don't feel the need to advertise it as a declaration of spirituality. But I do try to share things that interest me. Meditation, dreams, OBE's, animals. And yes, I post about world events. I do not ask you to agree with everything I post, and I respect your decision not to participate.

My friend. All is well here.  :) And I wish you the best with your journey as well. Your contributions are lovely and your expression is welcomed. I agree with your sentiments, and based on my recent exchange I think Steve does too. It is about working on the Self. I believe we're all doing that here, even if we have different world views and attitudes. Feel free to chime in on topics that actually interest you, or participate however you see fit. When you do decide to grace us again, you will be welcomed and you will have the freedom to be your self.

Sincere regards ~

Eric I appreciate your supportive comments above. You have been here and active for more years than anyone. I’ve only been here longer because it was Nicky and I who created this site and stayed on (even after her transition) lol …. I have met many Kriyabans like ‘this body’ with many other beliefs unlike my own. Perhaps he has close friends who follow his guru ( I really don’t know) So I’ve learned to accept them as my own brothers and sisters as Paramahansa Yogananda asked us to do, despite our surface differences. Even when spending time with Amma I found many devotees with similar tastes and others with very few other than a love for God. We all have to balance our interests with our world views and need to show tolerance. Sooner or later we all go through that spiritual lesson. Otherwise we may be placed in an incarnation specifically having a life resembling those we have difficulties tolerating and tolerating us. We aren’t here to please everyone but we certainly can show an appreciation for their views otherwise what have we achieved spiritually speaking?

I was privy to some important lessons that Paramahansa Yogananda lived and expressed as an example even personal ones that no one that I know ever spoke of except I met people that were with the Master and he was exceptionally tolerant of others, and their widely differing views. Especially meetings with them and in his encounters with them, with his long hair and Hindu garb in the early 1900’s in this country. I find that this body has a very strong connection with his guru and who initiated him. That is admirable and eventually we hope to hear his teachings and experiences with them if he so chooses.

Hello all.

Sorry Uwe or Steve if I've disturbed your peace. I will likely continue sharing technology and world events that interest me. By no means is my doing so meant to be intentionally agitating and by no means is what I'm presenting meant to be definitive truth. I am not here to provoke people or tell others what's what. I am simply sharing because I find whatever I am sharing of interest. I do think I have a past life memory(or a present life association- Akashic records?) of an energy dynamic similar to the lore of fallen angels which in part fuels these interest. If in the future there are members who join and find what I'm sharing worth discussing, great. If, however, these remain one off post because others here do not share the same interest, that's fine too. Members have every right to voice their disagreements and/or virtually 'walk away' from threads that are detrimental towards their spiritual life.

I appreciate your concern and advice- both Uwe and Steve, and I appreciate that I have not been censored for thinking or believing in unpopular ideas. That being said, whatever we post here, I hope we all remember that we are a spiritual family that share some similar values. That the pursuit for truth, beauty and goodness are something we hold dear. I believe, the members here, believe in kindness. There may be times we argue with each other like a family does, but there are times we remind each other of the greater truths in Life too.

I appreciate the kind wishes. I acknowledge that I might not always walk in peace- but that my internal struggles for peace and love remains a core tenet of my existence.

What is fascinating is that we have members here from different parts of the world- that all seem to have some deeper appreciation for Eastern philosophy, kriya yoga and pantheism. I don't think it will always be like that, but for now- this is a unique bond.

I'm bound through family relations and bonds I take with very few people surrounding me. Other than that I am spirit, and I don't care about anything else. No aspirations of any kind except their well-being. God is taking care of the world, so I don't feel the need to intervene. Although my old donkey (body) sometimes wishes to lash out at some politician, or getting laid again...

Thanks for bumping this thread, Steve.

Ok glad to hear your disposition. Are you in Eastern or Western Germany? I really liked the writings of Herman Hesse and read most his books at one time, even wrote a song because I liked the book ‘Demian’ so much.

Yes I liked the Glass bead game also; Magister Ludhi. But Narcissis and Goldman, Steppenwolf , Demian  and Sidhartha live on in my memory. Looking back on that period of life; I absorbed myself in those novels like they were my vicarious reality at the time. Later in life I seemed to live out some of those realities. It shows how much that environment can influence you. I also lived in a monastery for 6 years. Can you swim in the Baltic Sea? I read Demian several times.

We are about 42 degrees latitude. Germany 52 degrees and Lake Superior 47 degrees. I wouldn’t want to be in the water of Lake Superior very long! Brrrr!

But that Baltic looks like population saturation, from the photo above.
