Title: Sensing Ego and Selfishness
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Aug 09, 2022 03:50 am
I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ bout you but I feel that I am more able to sense ego and selfishness in other people than when I first started meditating in my teen years. I get a distinct feeling that a person’s vibration is no longer needed and it is time to disassociate from their vibe.

Is it not selfish on your behalf using people when you need them?

"I don't need you anymore." That is quite a rude and selfish thought. We are fortunate Masters, who don't need us, offer their service and presence regardless.

I was thinking about the very topic during my exercise today. Selfishness exist in all levels- even spiritual communities.

I thought about selfishness in relation to overindulgence. A parent or friend can destroy their relationships- losing those who care about them most because the need to satisfy self outweighs the level of compassion and responsibility true love tends to inspire. You can be a good parent providing in one aspect, and failing in another. It's not the fault of the parent, friend or the child. In all cases it seems a lack of understanding. All parties involved may not even be aware of the demand or expectation one has placed on the other. Until real understanding is made, suffering will persist. That's not something you can walk away from. All is One, God is here now.
