Title: Sitting Still Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Aug 07, 2022 06:08 am I think one of the biggest obstacles to meditation is restlessness and not being able to sit still. Most people always have to do something. For me it is best to occupy the mind with various disciplinary techniques in meditation and when possible, find environments that are suitable to interiorization and meditation. It is very helpful to meditate with other people with similar interests.

I brought this up because sometimes we are so inundated with thoughts and troubles that it is difficult to have a disciplined meditation practice. Discipline is like a staircase that helps us transcend our worries.

I remember hearing astral music in meditation for many months and though I miss those experiences, I recall now why i at the time found them ultimately distracting. The astral world which includes our dreams and for instance music we hear and the disappointing physical realms that also can take us on journeys that often ultimately distract us from finding that silence that is the deepest experience of bliss we can imagine. |
