Title: Amma on depression and discouragement Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 28, 2022 09:40 pm I have met many people who are discouraged and depressed. I went through Amma’s council in the last hour and found quite a few entries on the subject. I was grateful that some were meant for my understanding as well. These are a few that I dug up…
We see people in our own self concepts. That is why it's difficult to get along with others. Because of this it seems easier to get along with animals. Our expectations cause unfortunate circumstances. We have such expectations of others and criticize them for not being like we thought. We may say about him or her ' I never thought they were such a loser.' Yet should we expect a nurse to be a doctor? Can we expect a frog to be an elephant? If you go to village and expect to see the culture of a city you will be disappointed. When we get dissolutioned by the external nature of something our expectations are too high. It is not bad to have expectations yet we should recognize that there is positive and negative in others. amma Title: Amma; how to be happy and avoid depression and discouragement Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 28, 2022 11:49 pm Be with Amma in this video you too can feel her love and compassion. You will be happy in her presence. All you need is a receptive mind and/or heart 💜. Her happiness and love can travel to you wherever you are. This is how I have experienced Divine Mother. She is there if we need her and tell her of our suffering and need for love.
https://fb.watch/3d8pm1M3zl/ Start at 2:40 for talk on practicing japa / mantra and Amma’s talk on being a witness of the mind. Listen on she will speak also. Be patient she speaks with English subtitles after a bit for those having difficulty understanding interpreters as I have myself! “Actions are enjoyable only if the mind enjoys them... the mind alone is the cause of joy and sorrow....with this understanding we can become a witness.” ~ Amma Title: Re: Amma on depression and discouragement Post by: guest587 on Jun 29, 2022 03:18 am I have met many people who are discouraged and depressed. Presently, I am sitting in my backyard- comforted by the evening sun. It's 96 degrees outside, which is a relief from the last couple of days with consecutive over 100 degree weather. There is a stillness in the blanket of the sun, and an imperceptible breeze moving the leaves gently about the yard. As if being moved by a ghostly dervish. When I dream of Amma she naturally moves my consciousness- dimensional awareness. The night before meeting her I dreamt I was there to witness a man who had been shot outside the hotel I was staying in. It was a confined space and I believe bearing witness was to help release some kind of energy. In the other dream Amma, my self and a few others were drudging through the mud singing a song in joy- while people were sad and attending a funeral. In almost every instance, whether I've met her in person or in dreams- there is an act of service that is taking place. For these reasons, Divine Mother is a very fitting title to me. Title: Re: Amma on depression and discouragement Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 29, 2022 11:00 am Some of these videos, if not most of them, take me back to years of following her tours across the country. I know Kelly has saw her, and Art also. I used to see her a lot with Nikki, Namaste2all, Ann and many other friends over the years. We were extremely fortunate to be in her presence as a living avatar on earth. I’m not sure that chance will come again but I keep looking to see if she will tour again. I gained many experiences of great importance to my spiritual journey being in her presence…. And she helps me now … keep a spiritual perspective to life as we navigate the challenging times ahead. |
