What is the Meaning of Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.” Title: Re: Om Lokah Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on May 22, 2022 10:14 am Pronunciation…..

I went for a jog in the 95 degree weather. It was around 5PM so the sun was serving like a heated blanket. I got to sweat until I entered a very quiet and beautiful scene in nature. There I was sheltered by trees and really started to feel in harmony with my surroundings. That sensation felt like I was levitating. What helped me focus was the use of a mantra, this was one I tried including- which made me think about you. I had the thought to share a mantra given to me by Swami Vidyadhishananda... I believe mantras are incredibly important as it helps direct the thought to a single point of focus- and if we can breathe one complete inhalation and exhalation with no other thoughts but the one, it is transcendental. After reciting the mantra, even internally, there are brief periods where it feels as if that's all I am experiencing- sensation without thought. It's a little more on the rare side, but I think all of this helps. Most important is if we can actively direct our thoughts to a single point of focus- and continue breathing without derailing.
Maybe I can still share the mantra shared by Swami V... Thanks for the blessing! Title: Re: Om Lokah Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on May 22, 2022 04:07 pm Those experiences that are on the “rare side “ are the ones that can change our life and stay with us forever. |
