Title: Mars in Scorpio Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jan 19, 2022 04:31 pm I want to look at a planet in a certain sign. It is Mars in Scorpio. I think it is an important observation. I was talking with Kelly about this recently. Usually I try not to make a big deal of astrological signs because Vedic astrology puts plants 23 degrees back because of a legitimate reason; the procession of the equinoxes which is a reason to debunk western or tropical astrology on the merit of the signs. However when I think of Mars in Scorpio from a western point of view, I have always found these kind of people have a certain type of intensity, magnetism and character. They often wait in the wings sometimes for a long time before striking or making their point but when they do, they have this sting, sarcasm or wit in their character of irony that can be difficult for others to handle. So there is often this strong reaction to them. A admiration of sorts or repugnance for them. I mean to mention some people most everyone would know or has heard of to make ‘my point’ about this. I say my point because I also have Mars in Scorpio. Mahatma Gandhi and Robert Kennedy were examples of a strong Scorpio influence in their charts. Gandhi having Venus, Mars and Mercury all in Scorpio in the first house. Added to the ruler of Scorpio-Pluto-in his seventh house oppose Venus Mars. Robert Kennedy having a Sun Mars conjunction in Scorpio. Both men were very magnetic and people had antipathy or devotion to their causes. Both had a strong tongue that swayed public opinion. And, both were assassinated. Other planets in Scorpio, a strong Scorpio influence or for instance a Scorpio ascendant or Scorpio third house can give the same energy to a person; a sexual or earthy magnetism that people have a reaction to. These people are often associated with some cause or mission that is taken up in an overwhelming almost religious zeal. There is also often a strong like/ dislike about/and towards such causes and people.
