Hello, all.

As blue nova expressed an interest in my musical endeavours in another thread, I felt it was time that I shared some of the songs which I have been graced with over the past two  years. Audio can be heard here (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=791336).

Many of the songs pay tribute to musicians who have left this earthly plane (not sure I spelt that right for the sense I'm getting at...) but one was inspired by a conversation I overheard about a chap who bought a bus ticket, but didn't intend to go anywhere on that bus, just wanted to sleep on it. I have one or two works in progress at the moment, which will be uploaded to that page as soon as I get an opportunity to finish them- these include a rendering of the poem "Deep Rooted in Divine Love" which I have set to music.

I have also placed a rendition of a song I wrote entitled "When I See", which is actually a tribute to the blessed individual who brought me to this path. I don't play the song publicly, because I can never get through it without a longing sigh of some description halfway through, but it is part of my canon, therefore I am sharing it with people who I feel would appreciate it.

I hope at least some of the music brings you some enjoyment.

George was a guiding light in my musical journey, and to an extent, in my spiritual journey. Through his music I found the dear friend I spoke of, to whom "When I See" is a tribute. In watching from the sidelines as she fought a battle with cancer, I learned a lot about "looking up", so to speak. If you call, He will answer, as Paramhansaji wrote. Of course, the prayer wasn't answered in the way I expected it to be, but it was answered, because she is (I hope) now at peace.

Perhaps this was more information than you planned on getting, but I felt like I wanted to share...

I try to make music to serve, but end up revelling a bit too much in the joy which comes from it. Not sure whether that's a bad thing, personally, but devotionally speaking it might be, because I know we're supposed to give it back.
