Title: Does God reveal atrocities in the afterlife?
Post by: guest88 on Dec 13, 2021 03:40 am
This is a very, specific question. Not sure there's an answer, or whether particular text may reference something like this. I wonder, if a people are oppressed and don't know it- crimes against humanity kind of stuff, say like a giant social experiment killing people. Is the reason for an individuals death revealed to them in the afterlife? I ask because, I have people in my circle confused why they're experiencing, "unexplainable" symptoms- and I don't think they'll have the privilege of knowing in this life. It makes me think about the atrocities of our past, where entire societies were misled into demise.

The more I think about it, the sillier I think it sounds- that there might be someone there to explain, "this is what was really happening while you were here, and this is how you died." Maybe we'll never know the extent of the misdeeds that've maimed us.

I believe the answer to be yes, but not everyone cares. It is equally important to realize in this life just how often we are being guided. The fact we are not always receptive to suggestion from Spirit, or have a developed intuition or discernment might carry with us into the next phase of existence. If you believe in life after death. With that in mind, what matters is

What value did you derive from the time spent here?

You might even find, at a soul level, you prayed and asked for difficult times. Though I won't say for certain what another has chosen, I can say that I feel I've asked for lessons that mean being born in this space and time.

I find very similar awareness. As though it was worked out beforehand that I needed to be born in the United States and to have been in California and Michigan for various personal reasons that have become very clear to many over the years.

The mistake is in thinking that awareness anchored to the body is the end of Life. What beauty awaits us once we depart our earthly attachments? And will atrocities of the past even compare? Hazrat Inayat Khan has said that once we are freed from our bodies, the vibrations we produced here are felt exponentially so... Do we want to focus on the suffering, or do we wish to focus on the liberating effects of Gods beauty and knowing?

If you can find Hazrat Khan’s quote in context I would be interested in reading it.

Hi Steve, I can't find the exact excerpt but I found something close to- which may be for your benefit:

5-7:
The afterlife is like a gramophone; man's mind brings the records; if they are harsh, the instrument produces harsh notes; if beautiful, then it will sing beautiful songs. It will produce the same records that man has experienced in this life.

The search function on this mans website is beautiful... You may find it by typing gramophone:

That website is a treasure trove!  :) Happy you are enjoying it.
