Title: A Tibetan Monk
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Oct 03, 2021 11:00 pm
A Tibetan monk was interviewed and he was asked “How is it that you have lived so long: longer than most any normal person?” The monk replied;  “It is because I have avoided arguing. Then the interviewer said “That can’t be the only reason”. And the monk replied; “Maybe you’re right”

Yea I think I still have a lot to learn from that monk! I understand that Paramahansa Yogananda was once accosted by a born again Christian telling him his religious views were wrong. However instead of arguing with him he constantly told the man; “Maybe you are right.” Some of his monks were around him when this was taking place and protested the man being there who constantly criticized the Guru. Finally the man left and Paramahansa Yogananda surprised the monks ( who were relieved to have him gone ) by telling them the man had a tremendous amount of admirable enthusiasm in his views and encouraged the monks to have that much enthusiasm for God…Hmmm

Yes JOY thanks for chiming in. Just the right notes for an unfinished symphony beause the composer decomposed.
