‘The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by its treatment to animals.’

~ Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi was a great advocate for animals and vegetarianism. Gandhi’s own commitment to not eating animal meat and being a vegetarian came from his own belief that it was immoral to eat meat. He was aware that eating meat brought harm and suffering to animals.

Gandhi is inspiring. I enjoyed reading the visitation between him and Yogananda in Autobiography of a Yogi.

Ghandi was not always correct, like the time he decided to sleep between 2 14 year old girls.

I could give you your typical responses like ‘you weren’t there to see it’ or ‘you can’t get in his head to see what he was thinking.’
But instead I leave you with this thought; Old habits die hard. And that comes with an admission; I know from personal experiences!

At least if you gave those kinds of responses you would have an open mind.
