Om lokha samastha sukhinu bhavantu

A prayer meaning; may all beings be happy! Sometimes while visiting Amma I had heard the prayer sung over and over! I have often prayed this for friends. If we are happy we make better decisions for ourselves and towards others. We have a tendency to have actions that are kind and helpful to others and ourselves because we see the world from a joyful attitude rather than a discouraging attitude.

Om Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu (translated as ”may all beings be happy and free”), is a Sanskrit mantra, is one of the most popular chants in yoga classes. This Shanti mantra is not a traditional veda sakhas, however, it expresses the universal spirit found within all beings.

Thank you Steve, because of you I have tried invoking this mantra many times. It is a joy being able to direct the mind to a desired location. When I met Swami V for the second time he shared a chant with special permissions from Dhanvantari. It was so spontaneous I cherish its benefits today. He shared this before COVID and now I find my self longing and nestling in the vibrations as I pray.
