Title: Orion Constellation; Sirius

Fixed star

Sirius is considered a favorable fixed star, promising great success and recognition as well as leadership. Overall, when accented in the birth chart, it enhances the higher vibrations of Mars and Jupiter.

Sirius in Astrology is not super important unless you have the Sun, Moon or a personal planet conjunct this Fixed Star. Then it’s your guide star! There are people out there obsessed with Fixed Stars & they’re insanely erudite on the subject. I’m not but I kind of swing back into being interested in them every few years or so.

I found this article to be helpful about the ‘fixed’ star Sirius and other stars in this sector of the sky.

https://mysticalprophet.com/sirius/#google_vignette

If Sirius is placed in the eighth house, it is said to bring about a notable death praises beyond the grave.

With Mars and Jupiter in favorable aspects and near the MC. There’s a chance of accumulating significant fortune or having good luck in business or political concerns.

The position of Sirius is also ideal for those in the armed forces, the legal profession and public service.

Interestingly, numerous powerful, well-known individuals usually have Sirius in combination with the Sun and I well placed in the chart.

Call it synchronicity but since we have been finding out about Sirius I looked up the star in my personal chart and found it is conjunct my natal Sun, Uranus and Venus. Furthermore it is in a fateful position to my midheaven. Perhaps others here may be interested in some of the fixed stars in their natal charts.

I also find that Sirius is in an important place in Eric’s chart…. Directly opposite his as ascendant in the tropical chart.

Thanks Steve,

What could it mean as far as understanding the self is concerned?

Thanks Steve,

The descendant - where Sirius is located in your chart - are your relationships and other people than yourself. So you seek out or attract people with Sirius influences.

Sirius is not a utopian star. According to an article on Alice Sparkly Kat, it is a star that deals with memory, but not real memory. It deals with fabricated memory. People who have intense relationships with Sirius often feel like they’re the dark sheep in the family. They often play the role of the dark sheep or the lone wolf in both social spaces. However, Sirius isn’t really about perpetual alienation. Sirius people aren’t fated to always feel alienated. Rather, Sirius simply likes to orbit itself because it is an anachronistic star.

Sirius is also seen on your descendant in the Sidereal chart.

Descendant conjunct Sirius: A splendid and illustrious life; glorious, mighty and commanding nature; fame, busy with many activities; bountiful resources; well known or feared in cities and regions. Prosperity around middle age or through marriage or women.

Since you and I both have Sirius accentuated in our charts, I do see the potentiality of both of us a bit feeling anachronistically out of sync with these times, as though we represent another higher time in human’s evolution.

Thanks Steve. What's fascinating about this is, just today in another community- a woman tried channeling ET beings like Casey(I've shared her work here before). She immediately felt she channeled a Sirian Being. That I am reciprocative of her posting, and all of this just happened today- I take it as a synchronicity. I see that perhaps who she is and who I am get along thanks to the Sirian influence as you've just said. That many are experiencing a Sirius discovery at this time makes me think there is cosmic influence happening en masse.

Another thing I am interested in learning with my chart is if there shows any psychic ability? Just this morning I was playing with a RNG on the computer- RNG stands for random number generator. It's a virtual 30 card deck and you can not have more than 2 of the same card. Not all cards come in pairs, so there may be a few unique cards. Anyways... I tried influencing the RNG and drawing the card I needed to play.

It blew my mind that I drew the card needed. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, I make myself uneasy and back off because I don't know if wielding this kind of influence is always appropriate when my Ego still lashes out in an unrestrained manner from time to time.

The Stars of Orion | The Classical Astrologer
In astrology and mythology, Orion is primarily recognized as "The Hunter," a powerful constellation associated with strength, ambition, and navigating life's challenges. Represented by a giant with a belt and sword, it symbolizes a seeker of knowledge, a warrior spirit, and spiritual rebirth, often associated with intense cosmic energy.

Key Astrological & Symbolic Meanings:
The Power Hunter: Orion is portrayed as a skilled hunter, often aiming at Taurus (The Bull), symbolizing calculated action, intense focus, and pursuit of goals.
Spirituality & Rebirth: Due to its rising and setting patterns, Orion is viewed as a sign of spiritual resurrection or a "light" leading humanity, representing inner growth.
Protection & Divine Watch: Known as a protector of life in several cultures, including the Vedic tradition (associated with Prajapati), it is seen as a sign that a higher power is watching over life struggles.
The "Bull's Eye": Orion is intimately tied to the constellation Taurus, with its arc often pointing towards the star Aldebaran, the eye of the bull, symbolizing precision.

Orion in Different Traditions:
Greek Mythology: He is thegiant hunter, placed in the heavens by Zeus.
Hindu Astronomy (Nakshatras): Stars in this region correspond to the Ardra and Mrigashira nakshatras, often associated with Shiva or the deer's head, representing a search for knowledge.
Egyptian Context: Often associated with the god Osiris, representing death and rebirth.
Orion is highly visible during winter months (Northern Hemisphere) and dominates the sky, reinforcing its theme of bringing light through darkness.

Orion is approximately 1,344 light-years away from Earth. The constellation contains several prominent stars, including Betelgeuse and Rigel, which are particularly well-known. The distance can vary slightly depending on the specific star you're referring to within the constellation.
