Title: Subject Post by: kingfisher111 on Jan 13, 2020 01:12 am That which is Real has no Birth or Death
The so-called Objective World begins with the "I" thought or the Subjective identification with the Body-Mind. Scientists think the temporary, changing Universe is real and the self is illusion. But actually, both are temporary illusions, play of Consciousness. You are not the body. You are the Subject, which perceives and conceptualizes the mental and material worlds with the 5 senses, and Human intellect. All of this, somehow, makes the Ego seem more real, but it too, is a temporary illusion. " Q: How does book knowledge help in Self Realization? Ramana: Only so far as to make one spiritually minded. Q: How far does intellect help? Ramana: Only so far as to make one sink the intellect in the ego, and the ego in the Self. " Self is Subjective. It's Who We Are. Call it God, Nothing, Everything, Pure Consciousness, Love, Light, Truth, Oneness, etc. It lacks anything to describe itself. Ramana's favorite line in the Bible was "I Am That I Am" Nisargadatta said to simply "stay with the sense of I Am" Who is this Subject? Stay there, in Peace, Consciousness, Reality, Bliss.
