Title: Illusions Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Nov 25, 2019 08:27 pm We are such stuff / As dreams are made on A line from the play The Tempest, by William Shakespeare ; it continues, “and our little life / Is rounded with a sleep.” It is spoken by the magician Prospero. He has just made a large group of spirits vanish and is reminding his daughter and her fiancé that mortal life also ends quickly.
And this life appearing to be real is ephemeral; a wisp of smoke rising into the air that we imagined to be something it was not. We imagine our experiences to be real and so are often fooled by events and people in our lives.... All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages. ~William Shakespeare Title: Re: Illusions Post by: guest88 on Nov 26, 2019 11:32 pm Thanks Steve, I felt influenced by Paramahansa Yogananda when I wrote this- It was 3AM and I saw a white light in my bedroom... After experiencing sensations on my temple and spine I was urged to write down what felt like creative energy Dear One Neither life or death But from me you are born Neither male or female But from me you are born Neither happy or sad, right or wrong Nor day or night But from me you are born Lo! This world is but a dream I Am beginning and end and from me You are born |
