I also think that "truly spiritual" music is produced only when there are a number of like-minded people working together...e.g. kirtan...

We are all reaching for something higher in life; Your name reflects this. When it it is evident that we are expressing this in art or music it becomes a spiritual expression. The evidence is in the ability to uplift others.

Not all will recognize nor feel the upliftment because not all are receptive. Most follow the opinions of the 'herd'. That is why we have people like Van Gough and Mozart who are not recognized till centuries later. Thanks for your reflections hope to hear more.

Hello Live to Learn
i hope you will go to Masters and Saints: Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. You will find your last post there. You asked Prabhasana about Ramakrishna. If in my zeal to start a new category i messed up some of your introductions comments i apologize. We are glad to have you here Live to Learn.

Sincerely Steve

Live to Learn

i recently have become aware of your avatar of Paramahansa Yogananda. Those eyes follow us and speak to us. We are able to pick up some of the Master's vibrations thru his spirituality which radiates out of the picture. i occasionally forget about him but humbly ask to think of him always for my welfare and those who come into my contact.

i am reminded of these words from Babaji as he spoke to Lahiri: 'Give Kriya freely to all who humbly ask for help.'

After a silence Babaji added, ' Repeat to each of your disciples this majestic promise from the Bhagavad Gita: " Swalpamasya dharmasya, trayata mahato bhoyat"- "even a little bit of this practice of this religion will save you from dire fears and colossal sufferings."  When i find myself in times of trouble the word 'Babaji' spoken with devotion brings an instant blessing and his promise from the Bhagavad Gita gives me assurance and hope.

Namaste, Jitendra.

Although I am busy at present, I must try to keep my mind focused on "the goal". I hope that if I pray to Master for His guidance He will aid me. The picture I have chosen as my avatar of Paramhansaji is the next best thing to the Lake Shrine image, which is my favourite picture of Him.

Thank you for drawing my attention back to this thread.

Jai Guru!
