I don’t think she was against texting but rather it’s interference with spiritual practice. There’s nothing wrong with talking and texting unless it interferes with Spiritual practice and meditation.

It is the best time to meditate for me because the mind is settled just coming out of the relaxed state of sleep and not being inundated with the activities of the day. It is also quiet in the surrounding atmosphere at that time of day.

Just as Brother Turiyananda warned against endless distractions so Amma has done the same. Especially so ladies, sometimes thsy seem not to be able to get off the chats. And young boys and girls, are straight addicts. |
