Sometimes we find ourselves reacting and acting similar to the way we did in past lives. In some cases these past life actions were completely acceptable in those lives. However in the social  milieu we currently find ourselves in, we experience disharmony with current  social circumstances.

We may indeed find ourselves surrounded by many normal people who are in actuality mentally sick and sometimes our reactions to present situations do not properly fit circumstances. Or on the contrary we may find ourselves in current life situations that we may have reacted to In a socially acceptable manner in another life that are presently not acceptable to societies mores.

 
Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deeds contribute to good karma and happier rebirths, while bad intent and bad deeds contribute to bad karma and bad rebirths. ~Wikipedia

What I have found is that people who have no belief in past lives or experiences with them or faith in the law of karma often blame their past in this life and circumstances on others.

i think it's true to consider what past life karma we may be reaping now in this life and that it is also true to become ever mindful that we may be able to recognize what we've done in this life to cause the discord we may presently find ourselves in.
most folks are so ignorant to their own behavior, myself included, that we can not see the actions we've committed in this life as a reason to why we are presently suffering.
the truth is, there's no one to blame but ourselves. with a free will, clear mind and a patient attitude we may be inspired by god and find creative solutions and liberating perspectives to uplift and transcend. 

Most people choose to turn their back on the past but I embrace it and because of that I even recall past incarnations....Make friends with your past it's part of your life. Be kind with memories-an open heart and mind.

yes, past is past. still, make friends with your past, you never know when you might run into it- again  ;)
to be kind to your past is to free yourself and be present
having met people in this life, from a past life, I can also confirm that, roles change. though you might be made aware of the role from a previous incarnation, don't make the mistake of reliving the past either-

love has many guises, but love is all love. I've met friends, brothers, loved ones, enemies- still- we are not who we were then.
what's more, linear time may not be the only means to experience our existence and there may come a time when none of that matters

For the most part we cannot know of all our previous life’s experiences. For instance someone may have lived in a life with the soul of Donald Trump being their ‘King’ and felt satisfied.

I, on the other hand, just today had a vision of the confederate flag in my spiritual experience. It is still fresh in my minds eye of what happened then when I lived in the south and was against slavery.

These experiences whether conscious or not mold our present reality and outlook.
