Title: Anger raised voices and monopoliziing conversations
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Dec 23, 2018 03:59 pm
I have found this about spending long periods of time with people who have anger issues, will monopolize conversations-raise their voice so it difficult to get in edgewise-into a conversation; it is useless after while to have a permanent relationship with them. It is best to get away from them. They are aggravating to spiritual life and you’ll usually find out that they do not meditate because part of meditation practice is self—observation of behavior. It becomes obvious that they’re not observing their behavior and learning to control it. If this takes place often and terminally without a conscious effort to reform it becomes obvious that it is necessary to leave them to themselves because solitude brings self reflection.

You will find most people- but not all- who have anger issues justify their anger, which only maintains their behaviors. Anger arises from thwarted desire and not getting your own way.

Anger is the root cause for a lot of “suffering.” Battling the anger just feeds it and causes
it to grow like a tumor that never goes away.

Acceptance helps us live in the now so we can enjoy everything we love.
Forgiveness builds our ability to love and be loved.

When we practice acceptance and forgiveness, anger and suffering vanishes.
