Title: Re: Relieving Stress: The most powerful tool is meditation Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jun 04, 2024 02:53 pm I have found that under stress I’ve made some serious mistakes in life. Sometimes doing too much in one day. Cramming too many activities into a day can cause stress. Too much heat or not enough sleep can cause stress. Other people thrusting too many responsibilities on you can cause stress. Too many challenges facing life for people around us can cause stress on us as well. These are just a few examples. It is is best to avoid the presence of too much stress in our environment if possible. Some people choose to work in stressful environments. Paramedics, policemen etc. I know, I was one of them; I worked as a truck driver and was pushed to drive more then 16 hours continuously at sometimes, and once had four jobs simultaneously. At some point I came to realize it was not worth it. But depending on age and other factors, like meditation, some of us are able to withstand much more pressure than others. I just had to find out the hard way that sometimes I couldn’t take as much as I thought I could. Better to take a cat nap or at least a 🐭 mouse nap. Even learning something new causes a certain amount of tension or exercise requires an act of will against the inertia of doing nothing. We all have to explore our own personal stress levels that we can tolerate and learn to back off as not to cause environmental damage and harm in our relationship to others and our own personal safety. |
