Title: The Real Witches Kitchen Post by: Charmed*I'msure on Sep 15, 2009 08:21 pm Herb Sachet recipes - for Kitchen Witches
(from the book "The Real Witches Kitchen" by Kate West) You don't need to buy new material for the cloth, you can use old clothes instead. Just make sure they are washed before hand and left to hang on a night in the light of a full moon. The easiest shape to make them in is a circle, however squares look quite pretty too. Place the ingredients in the centre and tie it up. You can use thread, cord, ribbon, twine, or even string to tie them up with. Healing Sachet Wrap all ingredients in a violet cloth tied with violet ribbon and annoint the sachet with 3 drops of eucalyptus oil. 2 parts lavender 2 parts cinnamon 2 parts sandalwood 1 part rose petals 1 part ginger 1 part cayenne pepper 1/2 whole nutmeg Carry the sachet on your person or hang it over the bed of anyone who is unwell. As soon as the illness is over the sachet should be destroyed. To destroy the sachet, remember to thank God and Goddess. It's not enough to just accept the magick, you need to try to give something back too. Perhaps plant a useful herb in your garden, or if you have space, a tree dedicated to the Gods. Alternatively, spend some time working on the land or clearing rubbish from your local park. Title: Protection Sachet Post by: Charmed*I'msure on Sep 23, 2009 09:35 pm Protection Sachet
If you feel concerned about negative influences or thoughts coming your way, hang a small sachet of this in each window and above each external door. 3 parts rosemary 2 parts fennel seed 1 part juniper 1 part dill seed 1 dried chili pepper 1 part the outer dry skin of garlic **good for keeping vampires away too** 1 part rock salt Place in a red cloth tied with black cord. If you think you know who might be harboring negative thoughts about you, then place a small mirror facing outwards in the window which most closely points in their direction. This will reflect back any negativity.
