This whole idea of the universe sending messages is more familiar to some then others. It always has been a part of your life Eric. It even shows up in your astrology chart as a ‘yod’ or ‘ finger of fate ‘ but quite likely it is because you started this practice in other lives. It is the practice of recognizing the significance of people and events that happen in our lives. I see one of those lives was as being an American Indian who recognized Indian Totems as having a unique significance in our lives.

the 11:11 wake up call is profound, when a special something is able to alter reality just to grab your attention- when you see it actually manipulates reality, it may have you question the natural world. 

i notice the prompts are stronger the more focused i am on god, sincerity, goodness, beauty or heart felt truth. in times of introspection, social settings and even random not so random reminders. the promptings for me have taken a wild turn this year. i receive custom license plate prompts too. for example, as i was learning from AoY, getting more into yoga and prior to visiting gurunath I received the following license plate prompts:
"awaken"
"shiva"
"he wept"

my miracle orb experience ended at :33 on the clock and i have come to learn this number means the masters are near you. my friend who bought me AoY now receives the 333 promptings and it follows him in ways that defy reason.

one day at work i shared the angelic promptings with a coworker and almost immediately a car pulled in front of our store with repeating numbers on the license plate 444. if that wasn't enough, another car drove behind the one parking which also had matching numbers, 999. how? why? i have moved passed being a skeptic on this one.

Eric I remember you saying numbers have and totems have a specific meaning to you. It seems like especially this 11:11 number is such a number....

It's a message from God, the fragment within, able to communicate both the internal and the external. 11:11 Harmonious reflection- 1 inside, 1 outside. Reality can be manipulated by this power just to acknowledge even the tiny i. How can we do more with this phenomenon is a good question. Being called to meditate is a nice response. But not the only way, every soul travels its own path.

Always appreciate your responses and see them as meaningful, especially since we are low on feedback these days. There are always blessings and challenges with too much and too little. I’m happy that I’m not given more than I can handle. In solitude and concentrated relationships we often gain much in retrospect.

Thank-You Eric! I hope to remember your inspiration here, because like many of us, including myself we continually look for our romantic partners in other human beings and not in God. This morning after spending time on dating sites, I suddenly looked at the time. It was 11:11 and I was thinking to myself how we can feel the vibrations and intuit the energies around us through other people, to determine if their thoughts and emotions are in alignment to our higher aspirations. Or, they may be a deterrent to our lifes goals. Then we can act behaviorally in accordance with our values for ourselves instead of the values of our compulsions. These ‘champions’ do exist in our time and so we should be grateful to be born in this time we have incarnated. And though the potential at times appears out of site, we can redirect our attention and energies at any time, since we as humans always have choice in determining our destiny.


Sometimes, when we are graced, several facors all work together inside, to inspire meditation and outside, in the configuration of the planetary energies and numerology, as examples to trigger an awareness in us of the little i and the hopes and intentions of the universe to unfold a higher awareness for our expansion.

I don't wish to comment in a way that would belittle your life experience and interpretations. This isn't a lecture but just a continuing of our thoughts.

I find my self a bit perplexed at times because when I am alone, sometimes- I feel happy and free. I know I am never truly alone, and I am actually feeling that happiness and freedom with God. It is a most incredible sensation, and gives me the utmost confidence.

And other times, when I am with others, especially around those who unintentionally challenge me- I too recognize that I have been blessed by God. I believe we are all unique aspects of One God, and to have the privilege of interacting with another is a part of the human experience... And maybe even a part of the dance with God. Sometimes I even get such lovely sensations around others- I know it can be egoic but it can also be very soul nourishing.

Certainly there are those we may find disagreeable, and so I don't necessarily think a polarization is, "bad" but more-so, appropriate. And we continue our journey with God, and find Him in the many forms around us. In troubling times, and in comforting ones. I don't think most people truly know themselves. I'm about to turn 35 and I am still finding so much joy in discovery and unfolding.

I agree with your assessments but am also of the mind that sometimes we are called to act on those compulsions. We don't *always* know better, and sometimes God uses us in mysterious ways.

I had an 1111 moment with a dear friend, when two hearts are united- the magic behind 1111 can be extraordinarily mind boggling. I don't think it has to be though. I think it speaks more to the power and Intelligence behind LOVE. And so, I was driven and even given support by 1111 to engage with this friend. We both wanted something deeper but it turns out that perhaps that something deeper wasn't meant to mean we should appease our desires for romantic partnership. I couldn't see it at the time, I had been trying to convince my self, so much was aligned. I didn't consider every possibility. And how can anyone be expected to? We're here for experiential wisdom after all... So sometimes you got to get your hands dirty... Then you can say you really do know.

If you think you know better, then act accordingly. So I don't have advice for you here- and I don't think you're asking for any. If anything I think you're teaching me right now- to remember to listen. To still myself and ask, is this a direction I really want to explore?

Not only does it instill a sense of curiosity and awe within us, but it makes us pause, stop, and question. Momentarily, we exit the asleep and trancelike (or samsaric) mode of living and access a more mindful way of being.

Although for me , inner experiences are more insightful and inspiring then outer experiences. These outer experiences give confirmation to the inner work we’ve recently witnessed.


Looking up compulsion under Bing.com I found this;

If we behave against our conscious wishes , as we all have at one time or perhaps much more, we have the option of tempering those compulsions with awareness and bringing in a higher consciousness in our minds regarding such pulls that take us away from our conscious wishes.

It is fascinating how we have become accustomed to strive to satisfy certain desires and these bodies we inhabit have become attached to certain thoughts about the world we live in. For the most part we are imprisoned by our thoughts and current level of awareness.

Eric in my last 11:11 experience you posted a rather lengthy episode of what happened to you during that time. I looked for it but it seems you deleted the whole experience. I thought it rather sad that the whole experience you had was what I interpreted as a major breakthrough in a life lesson. However we can also decide to make the decision that we do not care to learn or experience our revelations and that is what I see the post deleted as signifying.

As for deleting my lengthy post, it's for a few reasons. Not because I haven't learned from it. On the contrary, prayers have been made for this young man and after discussing with a friend I have decided not to be a victim. I was inclined, like my itching to tell you about the 1111 meaning, to delete my post. It was a step in the right direction.

Today I went back to the coffee shop and ran into an old acquaintance I graduated HS with. We shared some mutual friends, and I haven't seen this person in years. Today, my energy is uplifted and I am feeling much much better. I took my running into this person as a type of synchronicity- that I am making the right decisions and am exactly where I need to be.

I have learned something quite different from the experience then you have and since your experience has been deleted - - for what ever reason - your experience and events encountered would have quite a different meaning to me since it was you that deleted post(s) and not I in regards to the whole experience you have related. May you be at peace in regards to your experiences you have related and then decided you did not want them here any longer, for discussion.

In regards to your second conclusion regarding synchronous activities, I am aware of the shamans view and have related it here at the portal in a separate topic on synchronicity.

Yes! I know = ) And that's why I asked, not expecting an answer- "Isn't that how life goes?" The response above is saying the same thing. May our unique, limited, and sometimes flawed views serve us well!  :D

I do hope though, not to assume regarding others and be able to develop deeper understanding... Which actually means not always placing the self as the main-character. I had a 1111 moment again just yesterday. An impromptu fellowship with a customer and the manager. We were all three experiencing a funk in our energy over the last couple of days. We each had a chance to share our upsets, and each had a chance to share our wisdom in the process. The one man was explaining to me he gets discouraged when people offer unsolicited advice and don't really understand. Like his friend who lost his daughter. A Child. And a general response from people would be, "she's in a better place." and "keep on the bright side of life." These quips, be it unconscious behavior, aren't helping- according to the man who lost his only child. The real help he found was when people would instead offer their time- saying, "I'm so sorry for your loss. Let me know if there's anything you need, or that I can do to help you at this time."

It was very helpful for me to delete my post, because I had spent so much time thinking about it- I was not happy in the energy. If you are asking me what happened, I can tell you that basically I was attacked by a mentally unstable person. He was staring me down at the coffee shop. I was fortunate things did not escalate to physical violence despite him being so close and on the verge to doing so. I prayed for him and prayed for Understanding. I believe this man to have suffered trauma, and to have been made isolated by things like being near homeless, antidepressants, and polarizing content online. The world in his head was projecting a very off-putting, aggressive vibration. So much so that mere eye contact would be enough to trigger him into a rage. Anger is a type of fear. And that's what happened inside this family yogurt/coffee shop. I tried to remove myself form the situation but was approached by him once more outside.

Maybe God uses us in ways we can't understand. But the encounter at the time was very discouraging, and really brought me into a low vibration for the remainder of the day and next day. Though I was granted some insight into this man(and others) situation, I also had to learn how to get back on my feet and keep practicing the things I believe in. The reason I was discouraged is because it's not the first time I've encountered this behavior and not the first time I have had my life threatened for simply existing. I believe you have experienced similar, if that's why you would want to talk about it, and offer your wisdom, I am happy to read what you have to offer.

Deleting it was my way of not lingering in the energy- sometimes it's best not to post right away but to take my time and really think about my actions. I would say this discussion to me feels all the better... And deleting my post at the time, was the first step to sending myself back to my favorite coffee shop. Which is why I viewed running into an old friend as a type of wink from God that all is well. I'm not going to live in fear, and I'm not going to be made hateful because of discouraging behavior.

I meant to include, 1111 can be a synchronicity. It's an easy way for a higher intelligence, not bound to material 3D linear experience, to communicate with us. It would seem this intelligence is able to acknowledge our internal world, using the world around us. Since my daughter may be in a much better place, as you have mentioned, then I am! People morn for themselves not others, in such situations. I also have much different idea about your experience since my thoughts are completely different regarding your situation you encountered. But lastly, you expressed no need for unsolicited advice. Considering your attitude I have nothing to say; it is best to leave people alone to solve their own seemingly sad situations, who have the attitude that others cannot help with attitudes that do not reflect a need to hear a certain type of consolation.Sorry if I am to harsh - which I may be - but people need to find better solutions for themselves when faced with discouraging situations. Steve. I had a dream early this morning that I saw Yogananda. I believe he was doing some Kriya, it was a colorized photo. It was so vibrant, more colorful than the dream itself. And what really blew my mind, was this vivid rainbow colored serpent taking crescent shape above and around Yogananda. It was like his Aura. I also saw Anandamayi Ma. Really cool is, my family was involved in this dream and they seem to be aware of these Saints on some subconscious level.

In my experience with soul retrieval (very limited unfortunately), I've found that my light can either be a trigger for those stuck in the 'darkness' of their own mind or it can bring them out of their delirium. Sounds like this man was one of those who got triggered. I think when they see our light that the trigger comes from a moment of recognition of the light in themselves and this is very scary for someone who has denied it for so long. So, perhaps think of this encounter as you doing what you are here to do - showing others their own light by being the light that you are. In the long-run, you gave this man a glimpse of himself, even if he wasn't yet ready to see it. "

I'm sharing this because this feels like an 1111 moment as well. When I read her reply I felt moved, and I recognized that this man was also showing me an aspect of myself. Suddenly I felt Spirit showing me the anger I've directed at others in this life, suddenly some of my more violent dreams of recent started making sense, and I had the thought that in a past life I may have had a lot of rage. Just now I am remembering a dream with my Father where we murdered other people with swords.

As you know I have a thread asking about family Karma and spiritual evolution. It makes me think I may have been this angry and fearful person in a past life. The Lord also knows I have exhibited this anger and fear in this life.

So... 1111 can also be a mirror. And what we think to be the present compared to an intelligence not bound to time as we are, might mean communicating aspects of ourselves long forgotten or not yet realized.

It was also a humbling experience... I feel a great increase in my community. And yet, I know... Deep down, I feel something warning me not to move so fast that I don't allow others to contribute- or that I might be detached from reality. And reality, as you can see, can be quite sobering at times.

I suppose that's why the Masters teach us that inner peace and joy are something separate from the highs and lows of this world.

I feel okay carrying the conversation on. I see it as relating to 1111. I hope you feel welcomed to contribute too, should you have a change of Heart or perspective.

Im not so sure that my recent experiences with regard to yours are so important as yours. So it is wonderful to hear all your recent experiences and revelations, as they have been unfolding. If I find something that I believe may contribute to what you have gone through; I will let you know.

This is my current perspective; I think sometimes it is helpful to not say so much that may inhibit the growth another person may experience, and finding ourselves being muted by circumstances can be not only humbling but helpful to the unfolding process taking place. Sometimes the less said the better. It can give another person the opportunity to express hidden feelings, experiences and thoughts, that is most likely the case and my lesson for this whole situation. I also have found that like the experiences that for instance Sri Yukteswar had with Babaji…. I have had similar experiences in that I should look at a Masters blocking my thoughts and remembering certain events as sometimes a blessing in disguise…

to let circumstances unfold in a positive way that may otherwise be interpreted as a negative contribution to the development of another person’s revelations and understanding. I also have found recently that the present mood and thoughts we have may not be a lasting impression, because after we reread what a friend has written we may see things in a different light and have a much different attitude.

Thanks for introducing us to this concept. I was just wondering if I was making the right decision and suddenly I saw the time as 11:11 and felt support in my decision. I find it true; We can often find support or warnings about our thoughts that come to us as divine messengers in our environment as well as our inner intuition, developed through meditation.
