Title: Making Friends With Our Bodies
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jul 14, 2017 08:35 pm
I thought it was interesting to recognize that even as a teenager I had an interest in Hatha Yoga and my gym teacher finally made me into his secretary so I wouldn't influence the class in an unusual way.... since I stood on my head and did shoulder stands and yoga postures during gym class and would not be a part of their competitive sports. This is becuz, actually, Hatha Yoga is not a competitive sport but rather you work with your own body and its own limits and it's not competing with other people and their bodies as traditional Western sports. In stead of competing u are actually making friends with your body.

Change is constant. Our bodies change, and half the fun of this journey is learning how to harmonize ones desire for health with an ever-changing body, to understand the uniqueness that is our body, to heed the cravings without abusing, the list goes on. What works for one doesn't always work for another.
