hello steve

thank you for sharing this link... i certainly feel a deep gratitude upon reading....

i do remember the spiritual side of life when i used to meditate, not eat meat and all the benefits and unexplainable happenings...

much gratitude....

perhaps i am too restless and choose to remain asleep, i just don't feel ready to change yet. not that this is anyone's concern.

We all change at our own rate. We may have a moment of restlessness and not think clearly. It may b a very important moment that will determine our future with another human being. It could b heart wrenching. At these moments we need the clarity to focus on behaviors that represent us as spiritual beings. Otherwise we will live with the consequences forever. This can be said of a very pressured time in our work as well. A time when we my have even had a success. Given the restless feeling of floating high at that moment in another moment the alternate sway of duality can come along and bite us hard with a bad mistake we suddenly make.

When such moments arise we suddenly feel what life can suddenly do to our happiness. We realize that we are a product of events that has kept us relatively happy until we are shaken out of our silliness with a sudden wake up call. At any moment disaster and horror can enter our life and then again at any moment good luck and fortune can enter. Yet we realize how little control we have over these factors. Especially when we get a real wake up call... a real knocker. Soon we realize that our happiness is based on circumstances and not what exists internally. We have been creatures dependent on outward stimulation and satisfaction.

With this 'shaking up' we suddenly feel a need to gain control of ourselves. To find relief. To find happiness no matter what the outward conditions. Then we ask ourselves how is it possible that there have been people who are not affected negatively or are overly duped by sudden emotional highs? When this occurs we go back to our practices... our spiritual routines and seek again the happiness that endures and transcends all earthly conditions.
