Title: The Challenges in Spiritual Practice
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Jul 01, 2016 06:36 pm
We seek money, food and basic comforts in the midst of problems. We continuously try to overcome impediments no matter what problems we have. We try to overcome challenges. We should witness them with determination and patience. So many people refrain from responsibility and leave their tasks unfinished. We should do all our tasks with patience, attention and faith.

There are always people who will make fun of us. We should not be affected.

The "making fun of" vibration is a lot lower and very different from the "sincere" vibration

There's some kind of allure to reply to being "mocked", wither passive-aggressively or overtly, but any response to it will take you out of the "sincerity" that the one mocking cannot see.  You have to lower your communication to the "mocking level" to respond, and all this does ever, really, is just that, lower your vibration to that level...

Best to let the "mockers" have their fun and just keep moving...

Best advice I've heard yet. "Lowering your vibration to that level" Yes i have had that experience. The mistake that i have gotten myself into is thinking the person(s) were kidding and it was a joke but some people take it very serious. U may make a big mistake in thinking it was a joke and some people take themselves way too seriously. They blow something way out of proportion. U may have had a wonderful relationship up to that point. U can not always tell what u r dealing with in advance. Understanding may develop only after years of seeing how people communicate and what their motivation is to do so. It is about tolerance for the views of others. We have had some aspirants leave the portal because they know they r rite. This self righteousness is evident and we can understand what people r all about when we witness it. This is part of the understanding process which is essential to know when and how we may take some responsibility ourselves. If they r so rite why is it that they must leave so much unkindness and even vindictiveness in the wake of leaving?? Is this what we would expect out of a spiritually awakened being?

Ego is born out of insecurity as well as out of too much self confidence. It is because those who have very little self esteem often must chop the heads off of others to feel important themselves. It is important to realize that we will always find people who r superior to us in various ways and we will find people that r trying to rise to our level. The more we relate to the soul of those around us the less it matters. Each of us is unique in our own ways. When u can see the soul of others you can look beyond all these temporary abilities and see the spirit within each individual. This is where i am at. This is my aspiration. i cannot control the foolishness of others. i can only emulate the greatness i have seen in others. i have been fortunate to b in the presence of those who exhibit that greatness. It has also helped me to distinguish the insecurity that some have. When we see and recognize great examples among us, we also begin to recognize, by comparison, the lack of understanding we see in others as well. In this sense it becomes much easier to let them go when it becomes necessary to do so. Many people r very unstable in relationships. Their motivation is based on convenience rather then spiritual affinity and stable friendships.

As Amma has mentioned below "some people refrain from responsibility...". This is very true in relationships and all aspects of spiritual seeking. When it becomes obvious is when we see no real spiritual effort and people leave each other like bees going to the next flower and checking that one out. Soon they will grow weary of that one too. Yet in all relationships we should take some responsibility for our part... independent of what we witness in others there is the factor of our involvement which can not b denied. Karma unfolds around us and we often react to it. When we feel peace within there is no more reaction just acceptance and learning from all circumstances.

You may be missing out on a good joke.

i have witnessed this vibration in myself and others. Great advice. Wish i had it earlier in life but i shall surely keep it now! Life is for learning and there is so much to learn! Mocking and sarcasm hold similar vibrations. Heavy irony does not always work with others either. It has taken me sometime in life to recognize this type of behavior and humor can be very caustic and damaging to relationships - my own included.
