Title: Frustrations
Post by: Jitendra Hydonus on Apr 08, 2016 06:27 am
 ???

How do we deal with frustrations? Meditation itself can b frustrating. Although i will say this it was much for frustrating when i first started it years ago. i just had a rather frustrating meditation. i did put the time in though and then thought i would write about it. Sometimes it helps me to read some spiritual material or talk to a friend. This helps me regain my appreciation for what i have and what is given to me. i realize that i have much to yet b aware of and many things to work out in this life that has been given to me to learn from. Although i must say that the iam form of meditation given by Amma really has helped me when my patience seems to wear thin with my practice.

Same goes here, but I no longer get frustrated, that's sure a bad sign, LOL

i seem to have  a better time with the iam technique when my consciousness seems blocked in meditation. i believe it is because the iam technique has something to do from beginning to end. In other words the mind is in activity practicing the various techniques. However just like the SRF techniques; there are pauses to go within and just experience. The iam technique is much shorter. i was told by Amma's staff that she has said there is no conflict between the iam technique and Paramahansa's meditation techniques (or any other spiritual practices) but do not combine them. Practice them separately and at different times. So as long as i practice the Kriyas'  and some of the other SRF practices---i have found that a multiple approach works the best for me. When i have more time i find the Paramahansa's techniques better suited. Otherwise if i find myself having blocks in spiritual practice i find it is time to try a different approach for starters. Then of course there is the whole introspection thing that must go on again. Because really it is we who have put up the blocks. The awareness of how when and what we can do about it is not always so simple. If it was--the world would b full of enlightened beings. Spiritual practice is very subtle with many side steps and distractions along the way.

Spiritual practice is the hardest thing I ever tried actually...

restless thoughts? That's about the only thing that can be frustrating to me, sometimes it's almost for some reason I need to think about stuff though!

i understand what u are saying however from God's position it is most likely tantamount to sitting in a movie theater and watching a film in which the main character is attempting to meditate thinking how important his thoughts are. In this case though the main character is YOU.
